Zuko had always fought for his honor, seeking the one who would full-fill this duty: The Avatar. Yet, here he finds himself, staring at the gleaming moon; Next to Aang, a few feet away from Katara and Toph. Though, Sokka slept in the far back corner, still deprived of trust. They were resting for tomorrow's rash trip, hearing Appa yawn his way to Ba Sing Se.

Unbelievable, he thought.

He contrasted himself:

The desperate boy who wanted his honor back.

The determined man who fought for the avatar's success.

He stood, and walked over to the balcony. The fencing, frail, whimpering at any more weight. Its destiny was to crash, tear itself into pieces, give up; fail at its purpose. He winced at the thought of it, but turned to a quiet presence.

"Not sleeping?" Katara whispered.

"I … am not tired."

She walked a few inches beside him, and rested her arms on the fencing. It shrieked, creaking more as she leaned.

"…Have you been to Ba Sing— "

"Just go to bed," he blurted.

She stood there, frowning.

"I am not leaving till I know you will sleep as well."

…He silenced himself, then answered her question.

"I have been, with my Uncle, to Ba Sing Se. We owned…a tea shop."

He turned his head, and eyed her. Then, she found the courage to ask,

"May I…heal your scar?"

Zuko, desperate to nod, exclaimed,

"No! It is a reminder of me finding my own destiny, and not my father's."

"Okay, okay…I am sorry."

Silence.

"Don't be. I should be quieter, and more kind. I am new to this whole 'Team Avatar' thing…"

"I get it. You're a very strong, Zuko. The way you found your own path, despite your family's curse."

He smirked, "Right…the curse."

He longed into her chiseled eyes, encrypted with small crystals of diamond.

"Do you know…how to break the curse?" He flirted, as he widened his eyes.

Did I just say that?

She turned her head, and gleamed at the ocean. It's waves pushing forward and back, the shells floating and drowning. Her, leaning back and in, finding Zuko's lips. They kissed, indeed; wondering if what they did was wrong. He grabbed her and sat her on the fence, now pleading to tear. The kiss was passionate, long.

Then, voices came into his attention,

'Zuko?'

'Zuko, come on!'

'Zuko?'

His eyes plopped open, and he stared up at Katara.

"Zuko, get up!" She exclaimed.
