All I own is the baby. It's AU so this is Sharona's first baby

It was a dark winter night in the middle of a snow-storm. Sharona's house had burned down and she was nine months pregnant with her first child, a baby that came from a one night stand. She and her friend (and boss) had been arguing since she had come to stay at her house and finally he was really frustrated.

"Okay that's enough," he said, "Now you're-"

"In labor," Sharona gasped as a flood of water came leaking out of her.

"What do you mean," he asked, "You can't be in labor. It's not convenient"

"ADRIAN THIS BABY DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT CONVENIENT OR NOT CONVENIENT. HE OR SHE IS COMING AND HE OR SHE IS COMING TONIGHT."

"O-kay Sharona just calm down," he said, his tone instantly changing. He couldn't deal with people who were not calm. Adrian knew 1 thing. The thing he knew put the fear of GOD into him.

He knew that he would have to deliver the baby himself. There was no way to get to the hospital.

"Adrian," Trudy, the spirit of his dead wife told him, "You can do this"

"How"

"I'll talk you through it," she told him calmly, "You will like the first part. Clean your hands and arms well with antibacterial soap"

"Hold on Sharona," he told her supportively, "Just stay where you are. I will be right back"

After fully scrubbing his hands and arms he turned to Trudy again.

"Put on gloves," she told him, "It will save the baby and mother from an infection and it will get you less grossed out."

He complied.

"Now lead Sharona into our room. It's the most comfortable room in the house"

After that was done Trudy continued.

"Have her take off her pants and underwear"

"I mean I know she-"

"ADRIAN! It's so the baby can be born"

"Oh! Oh right. What was I thinking? Okay Sharona you need to take of your pants and underwear so that the baby can be born."

Sharona nodded.

"I know," she said, "You might want to look away"

Adrian kept his eyes on Trudy.

"Adrian," she said, "You are about to see a miracle in the making"

"It's only because of you that I'm not passing out," he told her.

"Who are you talking to," Sharona asked.

"Trudy," Monk explained, "You wouldn't understand"

"No I do," Sharona said getting into the bed, "and I think it's sweet"

"Have her take slow deep breaths," Trudy said, "and turn on the TV- don't argue, to distract her"

"I wasn't going to argue," Monk replied

"Yes you were. I know you very well Adrian"

"Sharona," Adrian told her, "Breathe deeply and slowly until you feel the need to push."

He turned on the TV. The labor was long and by the 7th hour Sharona felt exhausted.

"I can't do this," she said

"Yes you can," Adrian told her, "Sharona I KNOW you can do this"

"I can't. It hurts so bad," she started crying.

Monk sat down on the bed and stroked Sharona's hair.

"Sharona I know it hurts," he told her, "but you're doing great and… is the…the-"

"Vagina is the word," Trudy said laughing seeing at what he was looking at.

"Okay ew," he thought to himself

"It's not ew," she told him, "It's a natural part of the body"

"It's budging"

"It means that the baby is getting ready to come out"

"Oh GOD"

"At the next contraction tell her to push gently"

"Okay Sharona you're doing great," Monk said, "at the next contraction push gently"

When Sharona pushed the baby's head came slipping through the birth canal. It was out by the next push.

Monk cleaned the baby up and wrapped it in a towel.

"Congratulation Sharona," he said, "it's a girl. What are you going to name her?"

Sharona smiled.

"Welcome to the world," she said, "Adrianne Trudy Flemming"
