Insecure
Logan had always been insecure over his entire personhood. Whether it was that he was too skinny or that he was too nerdy and even that he was ugly to girls. This had eaten away at Logan for most of his life and he desperately wanted to stop it. However, Logan knew that he could not stop it as he was powerless when it came to these kinds of things. He left that up to his friends who would always defend him.
Don't get Logan wrong he loved to be defended by his friends, but he hated the fact that it was cumbersome on people. Logan despised the fact that he put pressure on people to do things for him. He never wanted that to happen, but alas it did. He was a person that demanded the least amount of attention for himself. With that he always did the best that he could to try to do things himself, but that did not often go as planned.
Logan was bullied a lot as a child and even now, that stays with someone and it is his or her flaw among all the others that no one ever sees and no one can ever fix. Deeply rooted in their very souls it cannot and will not ever leave. Kendall, James, and Carlos all tried to get Logan to feel better about himself. They would always talk to him and try to be interested in what he was interested in, but it never came out the way that they wanted it and they all gave up in the end.
Logan hated being labeled as a failure even though it was true from his perspective. That character was someone that could not and would not fail, as he would do his dandiest to try his best at everything. He accepted that he could not be as fast as Carlos, as good-looking as James, or hell, even have the leadership skills that Kendall had. Yet there was something special about Logan that he never saw in himself. It was the ability to rise above and do things for others without even asking or expecting anything in response.
The guys saw it, Katie did, and even all the others in the Palm Woods, but Logan never did. The inability to see a quality that was never seen was something that Logan did not understand and would never alas. It was a deeply saddening thing for the people around him; Logan was an attraction to pain. A magnet would you say. It is a truly terrible existence to have to live like that. Logan's past was the same either way. There was nothing other than profound sadness that radiated from him.
It came off as a smell of horror and fear to those who could not see the delicate flower on the inside. On the outside they saw a pale, skinny, intelligent, shy kid who never really had it. However, there was something entirely more beautiful on his inside. Kendall, James, and Carlos were the only ones that saw this. The others saw the selflessness, but the guys saw this and only this. What was this you say? How would I know I am on the outside looking in?
