Tree Tops

A trill of a child's laugh filled the air. There were sounds of leaves being disturbed and running was heard through the small forest that surrounded the Takeda fort.

The soldiers in the surrounding area were unperturbed by the sounds as they continued to stand in attention for any sign of provoke from enemies.

A tall green clad boy carrying a small boy in a red hakama quickly came into view, as the older sped across the grass. The little boy, enjoying the wind in his face and hair laughed all the way. The older boy, Sasuke, glanced back at the happy child he carried. "You ready?"

"Hee, hee," his rider giggled, "Yeah!"

"Hold on tight then," he said as leapt high up and up onto the treetops as Yukimura who held on tight to the young ninja's shoulders. Sasuke looked back and just grinned as he continued to leap through the trees. He knew the boy missed his family. It was best to show the boy now to see the wonders of Kai rather than train all the time.

The laughter did not escape Takeda Shingen's notice as he looked from his study to the boys who were hopping from tree top to tree top.

"Heh," Shingen snorted. Maybe a bit more play time would not hurt.
