My third Supernatural piece before we face what is sure to be a heart-breaking midseason finale. Just another bite of fluffy goodness, with a healthy heaping of Destiel. Enjoy!

Any other woman I know

Would have tried to control me

And it would be over

Blame it on my going my own way attitude

But all of that stubbornness melts away

When I wake with his head on my shoulder

And I know I've got to love him until my life is through

He don't tell me to

-Montgomery Gentry, She Don't Tell Me To

Things were different for Dean Winchester these days.

He awoke reluctantly to warm sunlight on his face and the smell of breakfast being prepared downstairs by Sam. He yawned deeply and smiled when Castiel buried his face deeper in his shoulder and let out a soft snore. Cas had been human for just over a year now and though they all still fought demons and every wicked thing that came their way, Cas was his priority now. He pulled Cas closer to himself and pressed a soft kiss to the top of his head.

They had been together for almost six months, the second-longest relationship he had ever had, but also the most meaningful. Castiel had changed him in ways he'd never expected, making him a better man than he ever thought he was capable of becoming. He couldn't imagine his life without this man now, and he hoped he would never have to.

"Dean, Cas, breakfast is ready!" Sam bellowed from downstairs, and Dean gently nudged Castiel.

"Wake up."

Cas moaned into Dean's shoulder. "I require five more minutes…"

Laughing, Dean pulled Castiel closer and held him like he would never let go.

If he had his way, he never would.

The End.
