A great man once said: "Every fairy tale needs a good old-fashioned villain."

This time however, how about we add a entire mad house of villains?

They are not only what a good old-fashioned villain should be, they are the people that will change this world.

This story is how a fairy tale turned into a freak show.

(Present time, High Security Prison of Fiore)

It was well known that Fiore was no utopia for people. Even if both Guilds and the Council existed to uphold the law of the land, there also existed people that are against it.

No, im not talking about the Dark Guilds or the Balam Alliance. Im talking about something much more ferocious.

As we all know that a lot of people know how to use magic. They use it for all kind of reasons. But what about the ones that don't use magic?

Most of them just accepts that and continue to live with their life. They have a normal life like almost every other person because, while they feel jealous, they still live their lives.

Not all people are like that. Some people are just ahead of the curve and thought of a different way to catch up to the mages.

Technology. Those people continued to evolve on a different way. While mages trained their magic, those people trained their brains.

And like that, a new crime wave hit Fiore like a truck.

Multiple gangs began to rise and spread fear across the lands. Each gang had one thing in common: no one was a mage or knew how to even use magic.

They didn't care. They had their own way to solve problems. And there was no way they will change that.

Soon, the Council began to hunt each gang with everything they got. The gangs put a good fight and chase, but they began to fall one after one.

They couldn't put them in the same prison as other criminals, so the Council created a specific place for each of those people.

Thought as mental ill, the prison for the people was named Arkham Asylum. It was a fortress from which a person could not break in our out. It served as the place Fiore could place the worst kind of people and (probably) forget about them.

Our story starts in one of, if not the most secure prison Fiore had. There the Council would put people to serve their sentance, or just wait till they need to be transfered to another place.

Walking past some cells were two people. One of them was a younger looking guy, maybe around 20. He had blond hair with blue eyes. He was dressed in a really nice and expensive looking suit. He held some papers in one of his hands.

The other person was a more shorter and older person with white hair, or what is left of it and a mustache. He was dressed in a more normal attire, with the exeption of a mantle with the symbol of the Ten Wizard Saints.

They were calmly walking past some cells, ignoring the calls the people in their cells as they threw insults and threats at them.

"To tell you the truth, the fact that you offered to the transport of those two people was rather suprising. I thought your guild was more used to accept ... destructive missions, Mister Makarov." the younger man said to the now named Makarov, who chuckled.

"That is true, but this is a specific occasion." said Makarov making the man raise a eyebrow. "You see, some of my more free spirited children went on a S-Class Mission, even if he was not suited for it. After the team returned, I decided to give them a punishment."

"Basicly, not allowing them to do any fighting and just sit in a train together with two criminals from which one barely talks. Nice idea." praised the man as he decided to change the theme. "Anyway, did you think how will you organize with who will be with who?"

"Actually, I did. My plan was to have me and Erza together with this one, while Natsu, Gray, Lucy and Happy will be with the other one. I need to ask, who are the two of them anyway?" asked Makarov as he was handed two files.

The first person was a muscular man with his face being covered by a black metal mask with white around the places his eyes and mouth should be.

"That big guy is simply known as Bane. Apparently he is some kind of assassin hired by someone. We caught him after he sneaked into the Council HQ and stole some information. The stolen information are still not found." explained the man as Makarov looked over Bane's filles.

"From what I read, his pure strenght is almost unmatched. Makes me wonder what he is made of, especialy if he can break a man's back like its nothing." said Makarov as the other man sighned and pointed at the other file.

This one was a young man, not older than 20 with shoulder long black hair brushed behind his ears. He had brown (maybe red) eyes. His body looked well in shape, but not to muscular. He had what looked a playful grin on his face.

"This one is even worse. He managed to stay out of our reach for quiet a long time. While most criminals have a reason for doing things, this guy..." the man began to scratch his head as they stooped in front of a heavily sealed door. "... is a special case. The best way we can describe him is a man child or a really bored teenager."

Once the man was about to unlock the doors, a lot of inmates began to scream in protest, even begging for them not to open the doors.

"What is got into them?" asked Makarov as he looked around at the other cells as some of the inmates were trying to make them stop in opening the door while others just retreated into the furthest parts of their cells.

"Eh, they are just overreacting. He can't do anything. He has all kind of seals on him that no only seal his magic but also his normal strength." said the man as he began to open the door.

The inside of the cell looked nothing like Makarov expected. What he expected was a cell like every other he saw so far. With a bed, toilet, window and maybe some extra furniture. This one was the complete opposite. It looked more like a mini living room.

On one side of the cell was a desk that covered around 80% of the side with a few shelves above the desk and 4 drawers inside the desk. It was placed next to the heather that was below the window with a confrontable looking chair next to the heather.

On the other side was a bed that covered the entire side. On said bed was the person they came to see.

Said person looked like in his paper, shoulder long black hair brushed behind his ears with brown (maybe red) eyes staring blankly at the book he had in his hand. He was dressed in a standard prison outfit which considered of a grey shirt and pants. He had shackles on his wrist and his feet. They each had a small key hole on the side with a few runes written on them. Only the shackles on his feet were connected by a chain, decreasing his movement while the ones on his hands were not connected thus allowing him to move them freely.

"Would you mind keeping those other a little quiet? I was just getting to the good part." said Hao with a rather British accent not taking his eyes away from his book.

"Get up, Hao. We are moving you to another place." said the man as he turned to Makarov. "Well, from now I will leave him to your hands. Remember, he is harmless as long as he has his seals on." he shook hands with Makarov and began to leave.

Once Hao and Makarov were left alone, Hao closed his book and stood up. "Well, mister dwarf, I take it you are the person who will take me to my new home?"

"That I am, Hao." said Makarov with a voice with no emotion. "If you could, we are to leave now. Your friend is waiting with my children outside in the train."

That caused Hao to chuckles slightly chuckle. "Excuse me for laughting, but im honestly suprised to hear that Fairy Tail threats its members like family." before Makarov could say anything, Hao began to walk as the prisoners in their cells were covering and moving as far away from him. "We better move now, or we will miss the train. Or bus. Or whatever we are moving with."

"Mister Dent thought that a train will be the best approach as it is the fastest way possible." said Makarov as he started to walk in front of Hao, not bothered by his smile that turned on a lot of warning signals in his head.

"Mind at least telling me who my traveling buddy or buddies will be? It would be kind of stupid if the person glared at me or was scared at me." said Hao with a cheerful voice as he crossed his hands behind his back.

"There is another person who will be traveling with us. You might know him. It is Bane." said Makarov as Hao stopped for a moment. He soon grew a smile as he added a skip to his steeps.

"Bane, how long did I not hear about the old back breaker! I honestly did not expect him to be my traveling buddy!" said Hao as he was still skipping/walking, giving him a childish look.

"If you are thinking of catching up to him, you will have to wait. The two of you will be in seperate carts." said Makarov not even batting a eye at the stink eye Hao sent him.

"Bummers." whined Hao as he returned to his cheerful look. "Well, guess I will get to talk to one of your children in the mean time. They are your blood children or?" asked Hao with a true curious look, getting a small smile from Makarov.

"No. They might not be blood related to me, but I still view them as my children." he said as he turned to glare at Hao. "And trust me, if you even think about hurting one, you will have hell to pay."

While most people would be scared that a Wizard Saint was both threatening them AND relasing some of his magic power, Hao was not most people.

"Fine, fine. I won't even think about harming anyone on this trip." said Hao as he completely ignore the Wizard Saint's threat. "The worst thing I could do is have a not so nice conversation with them."

Makarov took a moment to analyze his face. He didn't look like he was lying. In fact, he didn't even consider all this seriously. Something about that gave him a bad feeling, but he didn't like it. Overall, he will have to keep a eye on him.

As they were walking away, the blonde guy who escorted Makarov to Hao's cell was behind a corner and heard everything they said.

Looking around the corner, seeing that they are pretty far away, he fished out something from his pocket.

Dialing a certain number, he put the phone near his ear and waited for the person to answer. After a moment, the person on the other side answered.

"Yo." answered the person on the other side.

"Karlo, the package is about to start moving. Make sure the others are ready." said the man as the person chuckled on the other side. It was followed by the sound of something moving which sounded like clay.

"You worry about nothing. The others are already prepared and ready to get him back."

"Good. I will stay here and make sure they don't suspect one thing about having a mole."

"Yea, yea. You do what you want. See ya around, Dent." and with that the person hung up. The now named Dent looked around to make sure no guard heard him. He didn't have to worry about the other prisoners. If they dared to say anything, well lets just say they will have a reptilian like man as their new cellmate.

As he walked, he fished out a coin from his pocket. It appeared to be a normal coin, exept that both sides were heads and one head was heavily damaged.

"Heads: Hao managed to escape to Arkham. Tails: Hao gets imprisoned for life." he flipped the coin it the air. Dent didn't even look at it as he caught it. "Why did I even do that? The result is obvious as hell."

(Train towards Arkham Asylum)

It was very rare for a person to be transported by a train to the place they will serve their sentance. It was mostly used when a person needed to be at that place fast so they don't have a chance to escape.

Right now, the train that was transporting Hao and Bane only had the train puller allong with two carts in which Hao and Bane were.

While Bane was being guarded by Gray, Lucy and Happy. Natsu was also there, but duo to him motion sickness, he was rather not that much of a use.

Bane, who was now in a more frail and thin form than his Venom enchanted one, simply sat across them and muttered some things in another language.

Across from him sat Lucy and Gray, while Happy was trying to help Natsu, who looked like he would throw up everything he ate during the last two days.

While Lucy was still afraid of the man across from her, that fear was greatly reduced once she saw his frail state.

She still believed that he could break bones easily, but she didn't know how. Her first idea was magic, but he didn't even have the aura like he was a mage. The only thing she could suspect was that he had his strenght from those tubes that were attached to his body, mostly back.

Gray on the other hand, had his guard constantly up and ready to cast a spell if he did any wrong movement.

He learned to not let appearance fool him, but that man looked rather pathetic and didn't seem like a threat to any person. But when he remembered that Makarov said he could break a mans back with no problem, he had a rather bad feeling.

The only confront was that he was the tame one of the two prisoners.

In the other cart, Makarov and Erza sat across from Hao, who was basickly lying on his seat with his hands crossed behind his head and his legs one over the other with his eyes closed.

He didn't have a care in the world as he sung a light tune, not even bothered to pay attention to the two wizards across him.

While Makarov was reading some papers about Arkham, its inmates and most importantly, everything he could dig out about Hao.

It was just hard to understand. The same man that was not captured for years of ruling the criminal world, destroyed both mentally and physically people that crosses him or tried to catch him, was suddenly caught.

No, that was not the word. It was like he didn't even put a fight when he was captured. Like he wanted to be caught and brought to prison.

It was well known how Hao fights. Or more specific what fights for him. That being that was made from something that was 100% not made through any kind of magic. Makarov was even sure that not even Zeref himself could have made something so dangerous.

"Erza." said Makarov getting the red heads attention. "I will go out and get some fresh air. You make sure he doesn't even do anything."

"Understood Master." said Erza with a nod, not taking her eyes from Hao. Makarov glanced one last time at Erza and Hao, before moving in the direction where the train puller was.

Once he was outside, absolute silence fell in the cart. Erza didn't leave her eyes from the sleeping (?) Hao.

She didn't have a good opinion on him, or any criminal in fact. Criminals were basicly what she had to deal with every day as a mage. And Hao was probably the worst one so far.

Not even the Lullaby incident could compare to the stuff Hao did. She only knew about him from the reports and the stuff Makarov told her. And she was disgusted.

From her point of view, he did stuff for shit and giggles. And that was enough for her to not show any mercy to him.

"The old man left?" Erza's thoughts were stopped when she noticed that Hao talked and was fully awake, but still lying.

"Yes. That doesn't still mean you are not guarded." said Erza as Hao only gave a short nod. There was a long silence as Hao decided to break it.

"I take it you don't have a good opinion on me?" said Hao getting her attention. "You have been glaring at me the entire trip." he took a sitting position as he stared at her. "So, tell me: why do you hate me?"

"Why I hate you?" repeated Erza with absolute fury. "It is rather simple; you kill people, destroy their lives and other things all for what?! For fun! Because you were bored! Who gave you the right to play God on those people!?" Erza outright yelled with pure anger.

Hao looked at her for a moment before he began to slowly chuckle. Said chuckle soon turned into a full blown laughter. And said laughter began to sound a lot like a certain clowns laughter.

"Oh man, you really are a innocent little fuck!" said Hao as he still laughted. He then stood up and stared Erza directly in the eye, not bothered with her sword ready to strike him.

"Tell me something: if there is random injustice, does it mean there is justice?" Hao's question actually made Erza stop.

"If innocence can be destroyed, that means there is no innocence."

"Shut up." quietly said Erza, but Hao didn't have it.

"You guilds are trying to save something that doesn't even exist, in this case justice."

"Stop." this time she said with more anger.

"Logicly speaking, you guild are doing a joke. That means your. Life. Is. A. Joke."

"I SAID SHUT UP!" shouted Erza as he trusted her sword forwards towards Hao's neck. But it never made contact as Hao stopped the thrust with with his shackles.

"My, my, you were aiming for a kill." said Hao as Erza finally understood what she was trying to do. "To think a person like you, who hates killers, was aiming for a kill."

Erza didn't even hear what he said as she stared as her sword. Hao almost made her do something she thought she could never do.

"You see now what im trying to say." said Hao as he started to walk away from her, towards the door that lead to the train puller was. "It is a lesson I was taught since birth: chaos is the most fair thing in the world. It doesn't choose which people will it strike, it just does." he gave the still frozen Erza a smile. "And now its the time to turn your world upside down."

Those were his last words as the entire train started to roll.

(A few seconds later)

It all happened so fast for Makarov. One moment he was at the train puller and looking outside. Then suddenly he heard a noise above the train.

Looking above, he noticed some strange machines that were carrying people inside. Said people held the things called Guns. More specific assault rifles.

He could see one man that stood out. He was dressed in heavy armor like clothes with a white mask that had a big red target visor for one of his eyes. He held a much longer rifle. He didn't even use it as he dropped something towards the front of the train.

Said thing soon revealed to be something that looked a lot like clay, exept it was moving like it had a mind on its own. Once the train made contact with the clay, the clay completly stopped the train.

Soon two arms made out of clay grabbed a hold of the train and threw it on the side, from the tracks, resulting into the train crashing and rolling around.

Makarov managed to recover as he looked around. He could see some of the soldiers crawling out, along with Erza, Lucy and Happy.

"Are you all right?!" asked Makarov in a worried tone as he rushed to them.

"Aye./Yea." answered Happy and Lucy as Erza gave a nod.

"What was that?" asked Lucy as she looked at the damage caused by the throw. "Where are Natsu and Gray?"

Her question was answered with the two Mages bursting from the wall of a train and landing in front of them. They looked like they saw better days as they slowly managed to stood up.

"What happened?" asked Makarov as heavy footsteps could be heard.

"Bane happened." answered simply Gray as he pointed to the person who walked outside the train.

It was Bane, and he was now a hulking mass of pure muscle. He easily towered above all of the Fairy Tail mages.

"Now, who to rompe primero?" said Bane as he looked at the mages and began to slowly approach them.

"Woah, wait a moment Bane! This was supposed to be a triple performance!" came a male voice as the clay from before gathered next to Bane and took the form of a even bigger monster made out of clay.

"I don't care about some performance. I want to have some payback." said Bane as he cracked his knuckles, getting a gulp from fear from Lucy and Happy. Erza and Gray also started to feel slightly nervous. Makarov stood his ground and prepared his magic. Natsu on the other hand ...

"Payback, bastard!" yelled Natsu as he charged at Bane with his signature Fire Dragon's Iron Fist.

"Natsu, stop!" yelled Makarov as he was the only person noticing the person who entered the scene.

"How tiny."

That was the only thing Natsu, who was inches away from Bane, heard as he suddenly stopped and felt all air leave his lungs.

Looking in front of him he saw Hao, now unshackled, holding him by the throat while having a smile on his face.

"Natsu!" the others yelled seeing their friend being chocked. They were about to go and help him, but stopped by Makarov.

"All of you, stand down!" he ordered as they unwillingly stopped. "This man is not to take lightly!"

"Nice to see you think so highly of me." said Hao as the choppers from before descended. With a simple motion of his hand, Hao gave Bane and Clayface the signal that he will take care of the mages. The two brutes boarded the choppers.

"You are not going with us?" asked Clayface as Hao simply shook his head.

"Nah, im going to teach those fools that for power you don't need magic." said Hao as the duo understood what he was talking about.

"Well, good luck then." said Clayface as his chopper began to fly away.

"Teach the basura a leason." said Bane as he followed his co worker.

Hao watched them fly away as he noticed that he was still choking Natus, who was giving him a week glare. "Oh, sorry! Forgot you were there. My bad."

He looked to his opponents to see that each one looked like they were about to attack him. He looked at them before getting a fake look of realization.

"OH! You guys want pinky back? Why don't you just say so? Here, catch!" Hao wasted no time to thrown Natsu like a ragdoll towards them as he was surrounded by a vortex of fire.

Gray managed to catch Natsu, who recovered fast. The strongest team of Fairy Tail was about to charge at Hao with their magic, but were stopped again by Makarov.

"Gramps!? Why are you stopping us?!" asked Natsu as he glared at Makarov.

"Hate to admit it, but I agree with Natsu! We can take the guy down!" added Gray.

"They are right. We have him clearly outnumbered." also added Lucy.

"You don't understand!" finally snapped Makarov as he looked at them. "Hao was never caught! He gave himself to be arrested!"

That caused all of them to stop. That annocument was like a truck hit them. Not only was he stronger that they thought, he was also never serious the whole time.

"I think you had enough time to prepare." came Hao's voice from the flames as they soon dissapeared. Makarovs eyes widen in fear as he saw what was now on Hao's side.

It was a giant being made from flame like energy, giving it a look similar to a machine. On its shoulder stood Hao as he looked down on the Fairy Tail wizards.

"All of you." said Makarov as he stared at Hao's greatest ally, the Spirit of Fire. "Run. Run now and don't look back." the younger Mages were about to protest, but Makarov acted fast.

He quickly turned into his Titan form, grabbed his "children" and flung them as far away as he could in the direction towards Magnolia, ignoring their cries.

Once they were in a safe distance, and probably somewhere near Magnolia, Makarov turned to Hao, who was leaning on the Spirit of Fire's head.

"You do realis that that throw could have killed them?" asked Hao as he prepared to fight.

"They will survive that, unlike the flames of that thing." said coldly Makarov while pointing at the Spirit of Fire (or SoF).

"Spirit of Fire is not a thing. He is part of me." said Hao as he cracked his knuckles, something the SoF mimicked. "Anyway, you're ready to fight or will you surrender?"

"I will fight till my last breath if it means my children will be safe from you." said Makarov with pure confidence as Hao simply shrugged.

"Well, your own funeral." and with that the clash began.

Makarov was the first one to throw a punch. Sadly, it didn't do much damage as the SoF easily caught it. Makarov grimaced slightly as his fist was burned by the SoF.

"Like it? Its one of Fire's special abilities. His skin is fire so strong that even burns the soul." praised Hao. "Meaning, your Dragon Slayer better not eat his flames unless he has a death wish."

"You have nothing to worry about Natsu. Im your opponent." said Makarov as he ignored the pain and threw his other fist for a punch. It had the same results as it was also caught and burned.

"Your wasting your time. Surrender." said Hao as he still smiled.

"Never!" roared Makarov as he reeled his head back for a headbutt. SoF copied his action and they clashed at the middle. Makarov grimaced more as not only his fists were burned, but now his forehead also.

Hao gave SoF a nod of his head. SoF understood what he was planning and put the plan into action. SoF quickly let go of Makarovs fists.

Makarov, instinctly, went to nurse his burned fists, but that was what Hao hopped for. In that second, SoF grabbed Makarov by the face, and burned it in the proces, and started to deliver strong punches to every organ, burning his body even more.

Each punch was followed by a burst of flames as SoF's fist made contact. A few more punches and SoF let go of Makarovs face, which was badly burned. SoF delivered one last strong punch to Makarov's face which was followed by a giant explosion of flames.

Stopping his assault, Hao could see his work. Makarov, who was back in his normal form, had his face, hands and body burned pretty badly that could only be healed by some powerful healing magic.

Giving SoF a mental order, said Spirit took the unconcious Makarov in his hands and began to walk towards the direction of Arkham.

"If they truly care about the members," said Hao to himself as he sat on the shoulder of SoF and enjoyed the trip. " they will go after us and face us in Arkham."

And with that, Hao and SoF managed to get away. They will send some poor fool to send his message to the Fairy Tail mages and begin his plan.

And done. The first chapter for my Fairy Tail story is done.

This idea came to my mind after I read To Be Free from Kronium345. The MC, Hao is based on the Hao from Shaman King. My Hao will have a slightly different personality and the powers won't be the same. Also, special thanks to my friend who remembered me about Shaman King: NightingalePledge.

A lot of villains from Batman: Arkham Series will appear, since I think they would fit perfectly. This story focuses on the bad guys, just so you know. It is not any type of bashing, its just the ideology of Hao, Joker, Bane and other bad guys versus the power of friendship of Fairy Tail.

Also, I will try to avoid the power of friendship cliche, along with the no killing.

Next chapter, Team Natsu will try to storm Arkham to find Makarov. What suprises awaits them, well you will have to wait.

Some other characters from other series also might appear. And Hao's real powers and how they work will be revealed later, but let me tell you: he does not use Magic.

See ya all next time. Peace out.
