He's gone, Charlene thinks, he's gone.

Charlene stares at his lifeless body. Maybeck. The boy Charlene once loved so very much, motionless. Dead. He lays there in a bloody heap in front of Walt's Partners statue in the Magic Kingdom.

Say something,

I'm giving up on you.

She gently touches his face, sobbing.

I'll be the one

If you want me to.

"Maybeck!" she wails. Her tears are hot, like the night's air. The worst part-it was all her fault. She had suggested they spilt up. She had disagreed with his plan believing hers to better. And now, they got to him. The OTs got to him. Strangely, she didn't blame them for this. To her, it was 100 percent her fault. She let him die. Charlene Turner had let the love of her life die.

Anywhere, I would've followed you.

Say something,

I'm giving up on you.

Charlene sobs harder. She hugs Maybeck as she cries out for help.

And I,

Am feeling so small.

It was over my head,

I know nothing at all.

"Rapunzel! Megara! Someone, please! Help me!" she sobs. Someone taps her shoulder. She turns to see Rapunzel.

"It's too late," Rapunzel says grimly," the magic that killed him is very dark magic. My magic is nothing compared to it. I'm so sorry, child. There is nothing I can…" Charlene sobs.

"Please, god, no." she pleads. "Please, please, please…"

And I,

Will stumble and fall.

I'm still learning to love,

Just starting to crawl.

Megara and few other good characters begin hauling Maybeck away. Charlene screams.

Say something,

I'm giving up on you.

He had died in her arms.

I'm sorry that I

Couldn't get to you.

The memories play back in her head like a movie. Charlene heard him scream her name and she ran for him. Just in time to watch him get thrown back into the Partners statue and for Maleficent to disappear.

Anywhere, I would've followed you.

Rapunzel hugged Charlene.

Say something,

I'm giving up on you.

And I, will swallow my pride.

You're the one that I love,

And I'm saying goodbye.

Charlene wiggled out of Rapunzel's grip and crawled for the fob.

Say something,

I'm giving up on you.

She presses the fob.

And I'm sorry that I

Couldn't get to you.

Anywhere, I would've followed you.

Charlene wakes in her bed, sobbing.

Say something,

I'm giving up on you.

She screams.

Say something,

I'm giving up on you.

She loved him with all her heart, and she left him to die.

Say something…
