I don't own the boys…

Just sharing some tears with them.

…and the tears came.

By Pegbronco

Hutch laid there in the dark starring up at the dark ceiling. The soft muffled words of distress gently crept into the bedroom from the couch in the other room. His heart was breaking knowing that his best friend and the keeper of half his soul was finely excepting his loss. No tears.

It had been two weeks and 24 hours since Terry's death. Starsky had been quiet for most this time. Putting on a strong front. Making sure that those around him knew that his was OK. Hutch knew the truth. No tears.

He had stood by his friend's side at the funeral home for the viewing. Stood and watched as his dark haired soul mate stood and slowly caressed his fingers ever so lovingly across her precious face, while she laid peaceful in her casket. He had watched as he bent over and whispered softly down to her. His words softened for her only. A last goodbye or promise, though friends don't have to make promises, she would say. He watched as his gaze lingered as for the last time he would see her. His eyes reluctant to leave her sweet face. No tears.

He stood and waited, as he waited until all else had slowly made their way away from her final resting place. Stood by him as they lowered her into the ground. He stood and watched as he stepped forward and looked down to her one last time. No tears.

He stood by his side in the courtroom when they finally put Prudholm away. Stood and watched as he gallantly held his anger for the man. He had stood, his eyes burning of hatred. His heart breaking from rage. No tears.

He sat by his side on the floor as they past the time, as the clock ticked the final of two weeks away. The last gifts from her loving heart opened. He watched as he held his sorrow, himself chocking on the hot tears. No tears.

He got up from the darkened room and made his way to the man that now excepted his loss. He sat on the edge of the couch, his friend's heart screamed in pain. He held out his hand, it was taken. He reached and threaded long fingers into sable hair. He looked down into dark sapphire eyes. He leaned forward and whispered, "I will love you even more…for her."

…and the tears came.
