Hey guys, this is my first story on FanFiction, hope you like it ^_^
Prologue
The steady rhythm of the heart monitor begins to pick up pace until it sounds like one constant beep. They gathered around the pale figure as they begin to fit. Their eyes roll back and their mouth begins to foam. Each of them takes down notes. This was a unique event that could change the way genetics were seen.
The subject let out a loud shriek. Their hands pulled at the straps holding them down until one snapped. The scientists shuffled back as the subject continued to scream. Their skin took on a grey pigment and blood trickled from their nose, mouth, eyes and ears. Their free arm flailed helplessly as the virus took hold.
One scientists stepped forward. She reached out and grabbed their arm and tried to push it back down onto the table. It didn't work and instead, she was thrown backwards into the wall. The others rushed to help her, dragging her from the room in a hurry. The subject stopped screaming.
Their body jack knifed as the virus completed its task. The heart monitor flat lined and the only sound that could be heard was the faint buzz of the fluorescent lights. Red Queen watched as the scientists ran in and checked the subject. They waited ten minutes before declaring the subject dead. Just as they turned to leave, the subject sat bolt upright. They coughed and choked, but their eyes were clear of further mutation.
The scientists congratulated each other on their second successful subject to bond completely with the T-Virus.
While the scientists praised one another, Red Queen turned her attention to the silent alarm that had been triggered in the other side of the facility. She switched her gaze and zoomed in on a small group of humans. Four of them in total, but one of them in particular caught her digital eye.
Project Alice was back, and she brought friends.
She could hear them, each speaking in severe tones. None talking the chance to separate from their small group.
"It's laid out similarly to the Moscow Facility. Only this was made to see the effects of before and after. Much worse in my opinion." Said a dark hair woman in a red dress.
"Oh sure," Replied the only man present. "Much worse than letting a Zombie virus loose all over the world." Project Alice motioned for them to be silent then continued down the empty corridor.
"This place may be similar to Moscow, but that doesn't change the fact that we need to keep an eye out. Wesker can't keep Red Queen at bay forever." Her companions exchanged a sceptical look before shadowing her. They thought they were out of sight, but Red Queen sees all.
Red Queen was eager to send a hoard to dispatch them, but the doors in the area were not responding. In fact, none of the doors in Facility were responding to her. It wasn't long before the familiar voice of a traitor appeared in her sensors.
"I warned you, and yet you continued. What happens here is you're doing, sister." White Queen's face appeared on the screen beside Red Queen. Her sensors were being hacked. If she could have, Red Queen would have smiled. They had no idea about her backup drives. They were about to walk into an ambush, and Red Queen was going to enjoy herself.
They were all going to die down here.
