*CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR WARRIORS AND TALLSTAR'S REVENGE*

In the dark of the night with no moon to guide him a lean black cat with white patches made his way through the forest careful not to trip on anything. The old tom was weakened, and starving. Every bone in his body was visible as he trotted up to a tall looming fence. Bunching his muscles underneath him he leapt but only a single paw reached the top of the fence. "Rabbit-dung." he hissed under his breath. He jumped once more and managed to just heave himself over. Careful to keep his balance on the thin wooden fence, he headed to a Twoleg nest he would never forget.

It belonged to his best friend in the world. The one that he was so different to, yet so similar. The one that had gone with him on his crazy quest for revenge. One that had a son that had saved the Clans many times over. "Jake! Jake where are you?" he hissed. Soon after, a somewhat plump, ginger tom that reminded him so much of Firestar stepped out of what he called a "Cat flap". When his leafy green gaze met the elderly, long-legged, thin, tom, his jaw dropped. "Tallstar!" he ran over to him. "What's going on!? You don't look like you've been eating enough." Of course Jake would never completely understand the life of a wild cat. He had always had a Twoleg putting food in his "bowl". "The forest has been destroyed." Tallstar mewed sadly. "But I thought WindClan lived on the moor!" Jake protested. "We did. But WindClan was the first to suffer. The Twolegs poisoned the rabbits and any cat that ate one would get sick and die." "Oh Tallstar..." he whispered as he rested his tail tip on the elderly tom's shoulder. "I'm so sorry." They both stood there giving a moment of silence to the forest, until Jake spoke up. "You Clan could come and live her- in Twolegplace. My Housefolk could take care of you all, or find Housefolk for you all nearby." Tallstar shook his head. "The Clans do not belong with Twolegs. We- WindClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan and ThunderClan are moving to find a new home beyond Highstones." "But Tallstar...that means I won't see you again." "I know... that's why I'm going to ask you something. Do you want to join the Clans? You would make a good warrior, strong, clever, compassionate, loyal..." Jake looked at him sadly. "We don't belong in each others' worlds. It was only fate that let out paths cross." Tallstar dipped his head. Something a cat would never see- a Clan leader dipping his head to another cat. "I understand. But it breaks my heart to leave you." "Mine too." said Jake. The two best friends sat there silently looking up at Silverpelt. "Out friendship reminds me of Firestar's and Graystripe's." Tallstar muttered. Jake's ears pricked up. "Who?" "Your son's." Jake cocked his head. "Tiny? The small black one with the one white paw?"

Small black one...?

"No. A fiery tom, like you." "Oh! You mean Rusty! He became a warrior?! he asked excitedly. "Not just a warrior, but also the leader of ThunderClan." And so Tallstar told Jake all he knew about Firestar, the tale of Tigerstar, BloodClan, everything that had happened since they departed after Tallstar's quest for revenge. "I never knew... I had always hoped, by some sort of stroke of luck, that one of my kits would become a Warrior. Leader! If the time is ever right tell him I'm his father."

If the time is ever right.

"This Tiny... do you know what happened to him?" Jake's tail dropped. "Not exactly. I heard from my mate Quince that his littermates were teasing him and that one day he disappeared. Why? The paralyzing conclusion came to Tallstar's mind. "Let me tell you about the leader of BloodClan..."
