Chapter 1
"Slytherin" yelled the sorting hat sitting atop Harry's head.
The students in the great hall all gasped in shock as Harry started walking toward the slytherin table. He found a seat next to the blonde headed kid he saw in Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions.
"How are you doing?" Harry asked skeptically.
"Alright" Malfoy replied quizically "Im just glad I got sorted into Slytherin, my dad is going to be soo proud of me" while taking a bite out of a chicken leg.
Maybe I thought wrong about this kid, he seems like a nice guy, mused Harry. "Im sorry about the way I was acting earlier I was just really nervous about the sorting, but now that it's over I feel a lot better."
"No problem, I understand I was a little nervous too, not much mind you, I was pretty certain I would be sorted here." Exclaimed Malfoy.
"To be honest I was hoping I would be sorted into Gryffindor, they sound like a courageous bunch."
"No they are a bunch of goody two-shoes, especially that Granger girl, someone needs to teach her some manners."
Malfoy took a glance at the Gryffindor table where Hermione and Ron just sat down, and shuddered. He never liked mudbloods, and never would. He didn't know what it was about Hermione, but he really felt disgusted by her. Hecouldn't imagine how Ronald Weasley could deal with being around one, himself. "What a disgrace to the wizarding world, hanging around with mudbloods."
"Whats a mudblood?"Harry asked Malfoy, also looking over towards the Gryffindor table to see what his new friend was looking at.
"Ha, you have to be joking" Draco looked at Harry, to see that Harry was dead serious. "A mudblood is someone with two muggle parents. They are a nuisance, they think they are just as good as we are."
The feast was coming to an end, and everyone was talking amongst themselves. The prefects got up to start ushering students to their common rooms. Harry wanted some alone time to look in amazement at the new building that he was now going to live in.
"I guess I will see you in common room, later" Said Harry as he got up from the table and started walking toward the entrance to the Grand Staircase.
"Yeah I'll see you there" said Malfoy grabbing his things from the table.
