A/N: This takes place after Donna loses her memories. I just like the idea of her occasionally dreaming about her life with the Doctor. And after rewatching Silence in the Library and Forest of the Dead, I thought, what if she dreamed of Lee?
She dreams of him sometimes.
Sometimes they have kids, a little boy and a little girl. Sometimes it's just the two of them. Sometimes it's an important event, like the first time they met, when they went fishing, or their wedding day. Other times things are perfectly normal, with her watching telly and him with his nose in a book, or having a cup of coffee together, maybe watching a movie with the kids.
He's always the same. Bright and happy, with a smile on his face. She always is happy too, but there's always a nagging voice in the back of her mind, telling her that this isn't real.
She always argues with the voice. He's right there, with his arms wrapped around her, whispering loving words into her ear. Of course he's real.
But then she'll wake up, jolting up with her heart pounding wildly, like she had a nightmare. Sometimes though, she wakes slowly, with the ghost like feeling of his arms around her still present, and his sweet voice in her ear. Those times she'll sigh happily and slip back asleep, and back into her dreams.
She doesn't know his name. She doesn't know his job, or who he is or where she met him before. All she knows is that he's there, he's hers, and he's perfect.
What she doesn't know is that someplace, someplace far far away, and years into the future, he is real.
And sometimes, he dreams of her.
