Lily walked into James' dorm, crying. She found James talking to a friend. He saw her and his friend got up and left.

"Lily, what happened?"

James grabbed a Kleenex and started dabbing blood off her lip.

"Dylan….Dylan Young…he..he hurt me." Lily stammered.

"WHAT? Why would he hit you?"

"In potions, he left his bag in the ground, and I tripped over it, and I accidently knocked his ink all over his potions essay," Lily sobbed.

"So this Dylan hit you for spilling ink on his essay because HE left HIS bag on the ground!"

Lily nodded. James finished dabbing blood from her lip and took a band-aid from the drawer and put it on her bottom lip.

"I'll kill him!" James raised his voice.

"James? That's not the only place I'm hurt."

"WHAT? Show me."

Lily pulled up her right sleeve revealing a large purple bruise. She pulled down her left sock showing another bruise above her ankle.

"Oh my god, Lily." Was all James could say. After about a minute, he spoke again. "Why didn't you run away? If he was punching and kicking you that would be an acceptable reason to leave class!"

"I couldn't. Two of his friends held on to my arms and I couldn't leave. Our potions teacher had gone to tell something to Professor McGonagall."

"Lily, If I was there, I would've hexed him on the spot." He pulled Lily into a tight hug. He released and looked Lily in the eye.

"Lils, if you ever get hurt, emotionally or physically, come tell me. I'll give them I piece of my mind. I don't care who it is. Even if it's Al who hurts your feelings, he'll get hexed. Why? Because I'm your big brother, and I love you, and I'm here to protect you. Okay?"

Lily nodded. "Okay."

"Now, I have to kill Dylan Young."

"James! You'll be expelled!"

"I don't care."

James got up and left. Somehow, he found Dylan Young. James pinned him against a wall.

"Dylan Young."

"Yeah..?"

"Oh, so you don't know me. Allow me to introduce myself. James Potter, older brother of Lily, you know, the one you BEAT UP?" James pushed him harder.

James punched his lip, gave him a black eye, punched his arm and gave him a huge bruise, and kicked him. Then he hexed him multiple times before giving him a good punch to the ear.

Dylan was knocked out, was half deaf in the ear he got punched, and sure enough, James was suspended for two weeks. But he didn't care. He had to protect his sister.
