"Can't I have just a little?" Matsumoto wasn't whining, it wasn't productive. She could however accurately be described as begging.

"I already told you no, you have said nothing to try and persuade me, so why would you expect the answer to be any different?" Hitsugaya believed in keeping a calm reasoned tone, no matter how frustrated he was at repeating himself.

"But-" Sometimes the best attack strategy in begging is repetition until someone gives you what you want just to make you go away.

"No, if you want your own, buy it yourself." Hitsugaya however wasn't one to fall victim to such a strategy.

"I'm broke; I had to pay for all those repairs from our last mission!" Sadly, fixing buildings damaged in fights with hollows was not cheap, and even ate up a good chunk of a vice-captain's pay.

"Then I suggest you be more careful in upcoming missions." Silently, Hitsugaya patted himself on the back for his policy of making subordinates pay for their damages, he felt like he had gotten a raise.

"You're no fun!" What else was there to say?

"Matsumoto, for the last time, You can not have my ice cream."
