I Just finished re-reading DH again and it got me thinking about Rose and Scorpius. It's the first time I've ever done anything related to Harry Potter. Yes I know I should be working on my Doctor Who story instead of thinking about this but oh well it took all of about ten minutes to write.

You are in your seventh year before you realize how much she means to you.

She is your Best Friend, she is the person that holds all of your secrets and knows you better than anyone else. She has been with you for years now and you realize that you couldn't possibly imagine a life without her by your side.

You stay close but it becomes harder to be around her because you still haven't told her how you feel. That when you look at her you see so much more than just a Best Friend. That when you look at her you see so many things that make your heart speed up and your lungs tight.

You see a first kiss, her running those small hands through your long blonde hair while you place small kisses on her jawline, nose and mouth murmuring how much you love her.

You see a mess of red hair laying on your chest the morning after a long night of passion.

You see a diamond ring on her hand and tears of joy in her eyes as you announce to her family your plans for the future.

You see a woman wearing a white dress walking towards you with a brilliant smile on her face and tears in her eyes.

You see a wife standing in a messy kitchen wearing an apron and a swollen stomach looking at you with bashful smile and flour on her nose.

You see a mother holding two small children with strawberry-blonde hair cuddled against her asleep with a book on her lap.

You see that same woman holding your hand while you watch those same children starting their own journey as the board the train for the first time.

You see scene after scene of a possible life that you do not want to miss out on all because you couldn't tell her how much you loved her.

You make a plan to see her that afternoon.

You close your eyes, take a steadying breath and knock on the door to her new apartment.

When she opens the door and sees you her eyes light up and you smile, cup her face and kiss her with all the love you can muster. Out of breath you rest your forehead against hers. She laughs and responds with a "It's about time you figured it out" before kissing you again.
