Ok this is my first Bones fan fiction. Based during the last scene of the episode The Critic In The Cabernet, Up until I saw this episode I was strongly against Booth/Bones but my mind was changed all because of the one episode (it made me cry; a lot) the XXX represent different paragraphs. Well enough of my rambling, hope you enjoy please R&R. x
He sat in the hospital bed, he felt so alone. The nurses were fixing up all the tubes and things around him, building his anxiety. He looked longingly out of the glass window. His eyes searching for the woman he longed for the most. Bones. A couple minuets past and she still wasn't there.
" Come on Bones" he muttered under his breath. He yearned so much to see her, it was making his head hurt. No. It wasn't his head that hurt, it was his heart. He was so scared. What if he died in there? What would happen to Parker? What would happen to Bones? He shook his head. No. he shouldn't think like that. He was going to make it though. Like Bones had said, he was strong.

He breathed a sigh of relief, when he saw the brown haired scientist, smile at him softly thought the glass window. Before he knew it he had reacted of instinct, and given one of those trade mark Seeley Booth smiles. His eyes encouraging her to come in and talk to him.
" Surgery should take about two hours" she informed him. He noticed that her eyes were red at the corners. They were only ever like that when she had been crying. Oh God, he hoped he hadn't been the reason for those tears. He desperately wanted to get up and hug her or something. To hold her in his arms and tell her that everything would be fine, even if he wasn't sure about that himself.
" I'll get lonely" he supplied trying to make her smile, he succeeded as she allowed a small grin to grace her face, they then both chuckled at his joke.
" You're going to be fine Booth" she soothed. He swallowed nervously.
" Would you come in there with me? To the operating room?" he said, almost pleadingly.
" Booth, it will be ok, I'll see you in the recovery room"
" Please" his eyes locked with hers. He could see the uncertainty in hers, and he was sure that she could see the fear in his. She finally nodded. " Thanks" he mouthed at her.
" Excuse me" she spoke to the doctor. He watched as Bones talked to the doctor, he saw the doctor nod, and Bones thank him. Bones, in his eyes would be the perfect mom.

As they wheeled him down the corridor, he thought. He thought about babies, the squints and Bones. All his thoughts lead back to, Bones. Bones this, and Bones that. Thats all that was on his mind. What if he died? He wanted Bones to be happy, with or without him. He wanted to give her something to remember him by.
" Stop" he commanded " I need a minuet" he looked at Bones. " If...If I die in there-"
" Booth-" Bones started
" No, listen to me Bones" he paused, unsure how to phrase his next sentence. " If I die in there, I want you to have my stuff" he blurted out.
" Booth-" she started again.
" Please Bones" he begged. Again she backed down to him. He knew the only reason that she was agreeing with him was because she didn't want to stress him out anymore then he already was, and he was planning to take advantage of it. He held his hand out to her. She took it as the nurses returned to his bedside and they began once again, moving him towards the operating theater. He held onto her hand tight as they entered the big sterilized room. A warrior and the woman he loved, hand in hand, into the unknown.
