Preface-
He ran as fast as he could screaming her name hoping to find her. Then, there she was standing at the end of the hallway....
She never thought it would end like this. When she first met him she knew he was different. She knew it.
They were the best of friends. Partners in crime. When they started school it all changed.
They hardly saw each other. When they did he would insult her. As they grew older he changed even more. Though they tried to resist their once unbreakable friendship dissolved into nothingness.
She stood there she was assaulted by overwhelming memories.
The first time they met. Sitting under their favourite tree in the park. Boarding the train for their first year at Hogwarts. The secret meetings by the Black Lake. The Yule Ball. That first kiss. Their last goodbye.
As each scene flashed before her eyes tear began to fill her chocolate brown eyes. She closed her eyes and let the tears fall freely.
The sounds of the raging war ringing in her ears. She opened her eyes just in time to see him one last time before she was hit by a curse and darkness overcame her and she saw no more.
Draco Malfoy dropped to the floor sobbing at the sight of the lifeless form of his best friend, Hermione Granger.
