Your dreams

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto or any of its characters.

The Hokage festival was a huge event.

Parades and parties in the day, fireworks and candles at night.

Naruto and the others surveyed the people in the streets, laughing and having fun.

"So many people," Tenten said, looking out from the balcony.

"Which is why it's so loud," replied Shikamaru, sitting on the rooftops edge directly above her.

Naruto emerged from inside and walked to a spot beside Hinata, holding onto the rails of the balcony.

Seeing him so close, Hinata began to blush.

Naruto laughed. "This is awesome!"

"Not really, it's troublesome."

Ino sat down beside Shikamaru and giggled. "Just because your Suna princess isn't here..."

Shikamaru rolled his eyes and Chouji, following Ino, laughed.

It was starting to get late in the night, and the air had become much cooler.

None of them could feel it though.

As they looked out into the streets, Neji and Sakura opened the door.

"Let's go," Neji said, and Tenten walked back inside after him.

Naruto raised an eyebrow and the three on the roof jumped down to the balcony, going inside to grab there things.

Sakura sighed. "Hurry up Naruto, the fireworks are bout to begin!"

Naruto smiled and grabbed Hinata's hand, who almost feinted as he took it.

He began to run inside. "Come on, Hinata. We need to find a spot where we can see the fireworks best!"

He went a little too fast, but she didn't mind.

They all went into the field filled with blossoms, ready to watch the fireworks begin.

Hinata was sitting with Naruto, not knowing what to do after he had finally released her hand.

He grinned and looked at her. "One day, these fireworks are gonna be for me."

She blushed again, but managed a smile.

He looked out into the sky, still waiting.'

"Hey Hinata?"

she looked at him nervously. "Y-yes?"

"What are your dreams?"

She tried to keep focus. "Um, I, um."

She found it so hard to form words in front of him. "I...I want to be a strong leader. For my family."

Naruto smiled and nodded. He understood what she meant.

"Anything else?"

She went even redder, and began fidgeting.

She closed her eyes. If I don't do it now...

She opened them again. "To have the strength to do this."

She gave him a kiss, then pulled back, looking away and blushing like crazy.

Yet she still wasn't as red as Naruto after she kissed him.

Then the fireworks began. The blush was gone and he looked up in awe.

She saw him do so, and felt disappointed and forgotten.

Until he took her hand once again and moved closer to her.

She smiled and put her head on his arm.

Naruto smiled along with her. The fireworks filled up the sky.

"Here's hoping that all our dreams come true."

End.
