"Regular housewife," The words are stuck to her lips. You can see the steam coming out of her ears, the raging inferno in her eyes. "Regular housewife?" She questioned again. I nodded slowly. For the past year, she hasn't done anything for the house. I've been the housewife around here. The first time I've punished Katniss, I've decided she become a housewife for a week.
"Housewife," She growled, looking to choke me. She raised her hands in the position to choke, her teeth shown like the wild animals she described to me, and then looked away, arms down. "Peeta, you be the husband then! The breadwinner." I replied, "Well, I bake bread, so I guess that covers the breadwinning part." She covered her face in anger. "I meant, hunt, Peeta. Get money."
I put my hands behind my back. "Go ahead and cook, darling, while I hunt." I felt so horrible. She stormed off to the kitchen, and the loud racket of dishes filled the house. I don't know how to hunt, how to sneak around. I'm just a baker, not a stealthy... hunter person.
I took off to the fence and fell through. I see the tarp where the bow and sheath is covered. "Okay, how to use this." I whispered to myself. I took a test shoot at a tree. The arrow was heavy, like in the arena. It dropped to the ground in front of the tree. "Great start," I said without joy. I wrapped up the bow and sheath and made my way to the Hob. I've never been there, but Katniss talked about it a lot. I bought one squirrel Katniss killed earlier today- a gentle chop in the eye from the arrowhead. Then I took off home.
"Honey, I'm home!" I yell, holding up Katniss's squirrel. Katniss came in with my apron on. "Hello- Peeta, that's a squirrel I killed earlier." She said, examining the squirrel. "Luckily, I'm not done dinner yet, almost though. Go ahead and sit at the table." I leave the squirrel to her and sit at the mahogany table.
Oh my gosh. My first story! AGH! I think it won't be good, considering my sense of humor doesn't translate into my writing xP. Anyway, I'll love you forever if you give a nice review. ~Peetabunnie
