Fred laughed loudly as Ginny fell face first into her plate. George glanced at their mother quickly before deciding it might be a good idea for him to excuse himself.
"That is not funny! What did you do to her?" Mrs. Weasley ran over to Ginny, who had at this point, started to stir. She raised her head, her face covered in mashed potatoes and gravy.
"It was just a little sleeper charm. It wasn't meant for her," Fred said quickly. Ginny glared at him as she picked up her napkin and cleaned her face.
"Oh, and who exactly were you trying to prank this time, Percy? Ron? This is not acceptable behavior at the dinner time!" George had nearly slipped from the room when his mother saw him and he was yanked back to the table.
"We were just trying to liven things up a little," he apologized. Fred nodded quickly. Ginny was watching both of her brothers carefully.
"And just how did Ginny end up with this if it wasn't for her?" Mrs. Weasley's face nearly matched her hair at this point. Ron had scrunched himself down in his seat, glad it wasn't him being yelled at this time. Percy watched the whole spectacle with disdain for his brothers' actions.
"I don't know. I put it in Percy's potatoes."
"I watched him! We thought Percy would just think he'd been working too hard and come on holiday with the rest of us. It was for his own good." Ginny frowned. She hadn't realized there was more to this than just pranking their brother.
"Are you alright, Ginny?" Ginny nodded.
"Fine, sorry Fred, George. I didn't mean to get you in trouble."
"What?"
"I switched the plates. I knew it was supposed to be Percy, but I was worried he might go off if he got pranked. So, I didn't realize..."
"You took the prank for me? Because you think I'm too stressed?" Ginny nodded.
"That settles it, all three of you are degnoming the garden when we get back from holiday, and the next week too."
"Don't punish them, mum. They're right. I have been working too much. I see that now. I'll send an owl to work tomorrow. Should I pack my swim trunks?"
