The surprise at the campaign party

Hannah Burley was angry, really angry. She had just returned to Washington DC two weeks before from Syria, where she had been covering the civil war and refugees crisis. But, a phone call changed everything. Her mother had been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, so she had asked for a transfer for the time being to be near her dying mother as the end approached.
Being as it is a presidential campaign year, her boss had asked her to cover Hillary Clinton's campaign fundraising party/event. She was at the bar asking for a Margarita, when suddenly she saw a really familiar face.
- "Temperance, is that you?", asked the surprised journalist. She didn't expect to run into anyone from the time she shared with Booth. But truth was, she really missed him. She did have some relationships after the soldier/FBI agent, but none of the worked, he had become the standard and no other man had compared to him.
-"Hannah, hi, how are you?" was the anthropologist friendly answer. She had been mad at her for breaking Booth soul, but had forgiven her in the end when it turned out to be the beginning of a second chance with Booth, she thought she lost.
-"I'm fine. Well, my mother was recently diagnosed with terminal cancer, so I asked for a transfer, and here I am, covering a political event" was the journalist honest answer.
-"Oh, Hannah, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I do find I quite agree with Mrs. Clinton political proposals, so I'm here to support her campaign" answered the anthropologist.
Meanwhile Booth was talking with his ex boss retired Director Cullen. Then he saw Brennan at the bar and decided to join her, the face of Brennan's companion not visible to Booth. Ignoring his wife's companion he approached her took her by the hips, and gave her a sweet, short kiss on the lips. The scene leaving their companion really surprised, to say the last. When they finally broke the kiss, Brennan tried to call Booth's attention upon Hannah's presence.
-"Um, Booth, we have company" said Brennan
-"Um, yeah Bones, sorry..." Booth started, but stopped when he saw Hannah
"Hi Seeley", was Hannah's answer
"Hi, Hannah" Booth greeted his ex.
-"Are you two, together?" was the surprised journalist question to the couple in front of her
-"Yes, we are. We've been married for two years" Was Brennan's factual answer
Hannah's face expressed the chock she felt. Booth had gotten married, what's more, he got married to Brennan. She decided to confront them
-I thought you were my friend, Temperance. Now I see I was wrong" Hannah said
-Yes, you were. I befriended you only for Booth's sake, I warned you to be sure, that he was going to give himself completely. You broke his heart. He was in his right to move on. When you broke his heart I was there and picked up his heart pieces
Hannah became ashamed of herself and tried to make a respectable as possible exit. Booth turned to Brennan and kissed her
-"I love you, Bones" said Both
-"I love you too, Booth"
