Hinata was in her house. She had been spending the past few days relaxing, because she was tired of all the adventure. She enjoyed getting a break from her noisy friends, at first. However, as time went on, she started missing them. As much as she liked relaxing, things were getting a little boring. She wanted to go on a fun adventure, but more importantly, she wanted to help and save people.
After Hinata changed into her usual outfit, she stepped out of her house. She felt the relaxing air and the rising of the wind. However, she quickly noticed a problem: She forgot her house key! She nervously started talking to herself, while saying, "Way to go, Hinata. How am I supposed to get back inside?" She looked around the neighborhood and tried to find somebody who could break the door open.
Hinata waved to one of her grumpier, but stronger neighbors, while saying, "Greetings, sir. I was wondering if you could do me a favor."
The neighbor had a frustrated look on his face, while saying, "I'm in a rush, Hearta."
Hinata corrected him, by saying, "It's Hinata, but that'd be a flattering first name. Anyways, I just need you to open my door."
The neighbor replied, "I don't have time for such pettiness." The neighbor angrily growled and walked away.
Hinata growled back and sarcastically responded, "That neighbor was so helpful." She pounded on her house door. She thought about what to do and realized she could break her door down, but she would have to replace the door. She sat on the ground and asked, "What am I supposed to do?" She looked down and saw that her house key was on her house floor. It was close enough to the front door, for Hinata to reach through the door crack and grab it. After getting the key back, she breathed a sigh of relief and said, "I'm glad that nonsense is over."
A few minutes later, Hinata finished walking to Naruto's house. She pulled on the front door, but had a hard time getting it open. She asked herself, "What's going on? Am I lacking in the strength department?"
Hinata was hoping that somebody could open the front door. She looked around and tried to find somebody, who was about to enter Naruto Uzumaki's house. She found Sasuke Uchiha and said, "Hi Sasuke. Could you open the door for me?"
Sasuke was carrying a bunch of paintings and paint, so he said, "I'm sorry, but I couldn't help you with that." He walked inside.
Sasuke walked up to Sakura Haruno and Naruto and said, "I dropped off the art supplies you asked for, Naruto."
Naruto smiled and replied, "Thanks bro."
Sakura had a shocked look on her face, while saying, "You didn't seem like an artist, Naruto."
Naruto giggled and replied, "I'm super talented." He pulled out a painting and showed it to Sakura. It was supposed to be a painting of a blue river. However, it looked like a bunch of random blue stains, thanks to Naruto's lack of effort. He asked, "What do you think?'
Sakura said, "That looks like crap."
Naruto had an offended look on his face, while replying, "Come on, Sakura. This is a decent painting."
Sakura asked, "How much time did you spend on it?"
Naruto said, "A few minutes."
Sakura folded her arms and replied, "Paintings deserve lots of effort and time. You can't paint a quality piece of art, in five minutes."
Thinking about the beauty of art reminded Naruto of Hinata, because he thought she was more beautiful than any piece of artwork. However, that's not something he had told anybody, because he was embarrassed by the thought of it. He asked, "Have you seen Hinata? It's been a while since I've seen her. I miss her so much."
Sakura smirked and responded, "Oh, you miss your darling girlfriend?"
Naruto blushed and said, "Don't word it like that."
Sasuke replied, "Hinata's outside the door."
Naruto had a confused look on his face, while asking, "How come she hasn't come in?" Sasuke shrugged his shoulders.
Meanwhile, Hinata sighed, while feeling ashamed of herself. She kept pulling on the door. She took a deep breath, because she was starting to feel exhausted. After taking a few more deep breaths, she tried to focus on getting the door open. After a few more pulls, she finally got the door open. She walked inside and said, "Hi guys."
Hinata's friends were glad to see her again, especially Naruto. Naruto had a happy look on his face, while saying, "Hi Hinata."
Hinata shyly replied, "Hi Naruto."
Sasuke asked, "How come it took you so long to get inside?"
Hinata had an embarrassed look on her face, while saying, "Opening the door was harder for me, than it should be."
Sasuke looked back at Naruto and Sakura and said, "I saw Hinata, who was about to walk in here, at the same time I was. It took her look ten minutes to get in here. How silly."
Naruto folded his arms and asked him, "Why didn't you open the door for her?"
Sasuke had a mildly annoyed look on his face, while saying, "Because I had to carry your art crap."
Naruto angrily asked, "Crap? Do you have any sense of respect?"
Sakura could sense the rising tension, between Naruto and Sasuke. She calmly said, "Come on, guys. You should calm down and start getting along."
Sasuke angrily stared at Naruto and said, "Those paintings were heavy. I had to carry that garbage for a long time and you didn't give me any rewards."
Naruto asked, "Rewards? Isn't our friendship rewarding enough?"
Sasuke answered, "Being friends with you could never count as a reward. Since you're so lacking in artistic talent, I'll paint you a fine piece of art." He grabbed one of the paintings and threw it at Naruto.
Naruto had an offended look on his face, while saying, "How dare you do that. I'm going to get revenge." Naruto grabbed one of the paintings and threw it at Sasuke's stomach. The two friends kept throwing artwork, as well as random household objects, at each other.
Sakura looked back at Hinata, who was sitting on the ground and had a sad look on her face. She sat next to Hinata and asked, "Are you okay?"
Hinata had a guilty look on her face, while saying, "I'm such a useless fool."
Sakura had a concerned look on her face, while asking, "What are you talking about?"
Hinata answered, "If I'm going to be a part of this team, I need to be brave and powerful and I'm neither of those things. I couldn't even open Naruto's house door and that led to Naruto and Sasuke having a crazy argument. I'm a pain to this team, not a hero. In fact, I should leave you guys alone, so I can stop getting in the way."
Sakura replied, "Come on, Hinata. You're an important part of the team."
Hinata shook her head and responded, "That's not true. I make mistakes and get in the way. If I had gotten the door open faster, Naruto and Sasuke wouldn't be fighting."
Sakura replied, "Hey, they're responsible for their own pettiness. As for you, you are a valuable part of the team. You may not be physically strong, but you have a strong, loyal heart."
Hinata smiled and shyly responded, "Thank you."
Sakura replied, "If you don't want to be a part of the team, that's your own choice."
Hinata was scared at the thought of leaving the team. Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura were her best friends, so she didn't want to leave them behind. She said, "I want to stay, I really do. I just want to do something of value."
Sakura confidently replied, "I'm sure you'll find something. Believe in yourself and work hard."
Hinata nodded and responded, "Okay then." She gave Sakura a hug and started walking up to Naruto and Sasuke, who were still fighting.
Naruto briefly stopped throwing stuff at Sasuke, so she could face Hinata, and said, "Hi."
Hinata looked at the guys, while asking, "How come you're fighting?"
Sasuke had an annoyed look on his face, while saying, "Naruto was complaining about me not opening the door for you. I was so tired, because I had to carry his silly art supplies, so I started throwing stuff at him."
Hinata asked, "If carrying the art stuff was such a chore, why did you do it?"
Sasuke answered, "Because Naruto's my best friend."
Hinata asked, "If Naruto and you are best friends, shouldn't you be getting along and helping each other out, instead of having a fight?"
Sasuke thought about how irresponsible and immature he acted. He looked back at Naruto and said, "I'm sorry. Instead of being a good best friend, I was being a grumpy jerk."
Naruto thought about how he acted and he was pretty ashamed of his behavior. He said, "I shouldn't of asked you to carry that art stuff. I should of stopped being lazy and carried the art supplies, by myself."
Sasuke nervously laughed and replied, "I'm sorry about throwing artwork at you."
Naruto responded, "We're both guilty of that. Lets start acting like real friends."
Sasuke lightly smiled and replied, "Sounds good." The two friends shook hands.
Hinata had a big grin on her face, while saying, "I'm really glad that you're getting along."
Naruto replied, "You deserve credit, for making me get along with my best friend."
Hinata shook her head, with a guilty look on her face, while saying, "I don't deserve any credit for that. After all, if I had been able to get inside quicker, this silly argument wouldn't of started."
Naruto replied, "That might be true, but I had been taking Sasuke for granted, in recent months."
Sasuke responded, "We've been so overworked, that we forgot about how much our friendship means to us. Thank you for reminding us."
Hinata replied, "You're welcome."
Sakura walked closer to your friend and said, "So, is everybody getting along?"
Hinata replied, "Yes they are."
Sakura responded, "I'm glad to hear that and good work, Hinata."
Hinata smiled at her and said, "Thank you."
Naruto grabbed his art supplies, off of the living room floor and couch, and said, "I better start working on another piece of art."
Sakura nudged him and asked, "Are you going to work hard and put in effort, this time?"
Naruto said, "You know what? I think I will. However, putting in effort doesn't make me a good artist. There's a lot I don't know."
Hinata had painted several pieces of art, so she figured she could help Naruto. She gently replied, "I could give you some tips, if you want."
Naruto responded, "Okay then." Naruto grabbed a paintbrush and tried, once again, to paint a picture of a blue river.
Hinata looked at the paintbrush and said, "That's dark blue. I recommend light blue." Naruto nodded and grabbed a light blue paintbrush. He started painting random globs of blue, so Hinata shook her head and said, "You're supposed to paint in a calm, flowing lines, not random blobs."
Naruto giggled, over his mediocre painting skills and replied, "You're right and I'm surprised I didn't know that." Hinata kept giving Naruto painting tips, while Sasuke and Sakura hanged out on the couch.
An hour later, Naruto finished his painting. He showed it to his friends and asked, "What do you think?"
Sakura was surprised by how nice it looked, so she said, "Very well done, Naruto."
Sasuke replied, "Good work, old friend."
Hinata looked at Naruto and said, "It looks beautiful. I'm so proud of you."
Naruto replied, "You deserve the credit, because you inspired me and taught me how to do it." He paused and figured this was the time, to reveal his true feelings. He said, "No matter how pretty my artwork becomes, it could never compare to how beautiful you are."
Hinata heavily blushed and responded, "Thank you, Naruto. No work of act could compare to the artistic feelings of love, that you bring to my heart." Hinata had been worried about not being an important member of the team, but her friends had reminded her, that her contribution to the team, was like a priceless piece of art.
