Chapter 1

"Are you sure that this is a good idea?" Barry Allen whispered as he sat down at the console in the Star Lab's cortex.

"Yes. I'm telling you. Those two have been flirting and giving each other longing looks for months", Felicity Smoak replied, furiously typing into the computer. "They just need a little push over the edge and they will be thanking us on their wedding day."

"Whoa! Crazy fan girl alert", Cisco Ramon chuckled. "You know you sound like those fan girls who love pairing up other people."

"Look who's talking", Felicity retorted. "You have been shipping them since day one."

"What can I say, I know true love when I see it", Cisco smirked. "Also Barry, we are alone here. Why are you whispering?"

"One of them may walk in here any minute and then this will be over before it even begins", Barry sighed. He still couldn't believe that he let Felicity and Cisco talk him into this.

There were consequences of meddling with other people's lives and most of the time they were fifty-fifty. For example; in this scenario either two of his best friends could end up falling in love and being a part of something amazing or one or both them could end up heartbroken.

"Don't worry. Oliver won't be here until tomorrow morning", Felicity said as she faced Barry, a confused look on her face.

"And I bribed Ralph to keep Caitlin away from here for as long as possible."

"Hey, you okay?" Felicity, concerned, put a hand on Barry's shoulder, pulling him out of his deep thoughts.

Barry opened his mouth to answer but just then, Caitlin Snow and Ralph Dibny walked into the cortex.

"Hey guys", Ralph cheerfully greeted the occupants of the cortex.

"Some bribe Cisco", Felicity muttered under her breath, giving Cisco a pointed look.

"Hey! I thought you guys were getting coffee. Where's the coffee?" Barry enquired, standing up from his seat and moving towards the center of the cortex.

"We were supposed to get coffee but someone saw a very annoyed ex at Jitters and didn't have the courage to go in", Caitlin replied, taking off her jacket while simultaneously giving Ralph a frustrated and exasperated look.

"In my defense, for a while, she did believe that I was her high school sweetheart and she just forgot about me," Ralph declared as a form of justification, and groaned when he only received eye rolls from his colleagues. "Come on, give a guy a break."

"Whatever", Caitlin shook her head and turned her attention towards Felicity and Cisco. "What are you guys doing?"

"Just doing some final preparations for tomorrow", Cisco shrugged, trying to act casual. "Checking the reservation, reminding everyone about the time they have to be here, normal stuff you know."

"Francisco Ramon, what are you hiding?" Caitlin slowly moved towards Cisco, immediately catching on his bluff.

"We were booking a karaoke room for tomorrow! It was a surprise. We thought it would be fun", Felicity jumped in just when Cisco was about to tell Caitlin what they were actually doing. "You know this is the first time that all of us will be hanging out together without being attacked by aliens or Nazis or preparing for an attack. It has to be memorable."

"A karaoke machine would be fun. You all will finally witness the glory of ", Ralph chuckled, swaying his body.

" ? Really?" Cisco raised an eyebrow. "We're going to regret this."

"So when is everyone coming in?" Caitlin questioned, sitting herself down at her station.

"Kara and Alex will probably arrive tonight and the Legends will be arriving sometime tomorrow", Barry answered, giving Caitlin a slight smile.

"And Oliver will be here tomorrow morning and hopefully the rest of Team Arrow will arrive shortly after him", Felicity added, not missing the look that overtook Caitlin's face when she mentioned Oliver Queen.

"Have Joe, Cecile, Iris and Eddie confirmed yet? None of them are answering my texts", Cisco questioned, still invested in his computer.

"Yeah, they'll meet us there", Barry replied. "Wally is also arriving tomorrow so he will also be there."

"Great, now the only person left is Harry", Caitlin said. "Has anyone been able to get in touch with him?"

"Yeah, he said Team Jesse Quick is really busy these days and he won't be able to make it", Cisco answered.

Just then the meta alarm rang loud and clear throughout the cortex and the team jumped into action with Barry speeding off.

"Back to work!" Felicity exclaimed as she, Cisco and Caitlin took their positions and started instructing Barry and Ralph on exactly what to do to stop the meta.
