In the Tamor Desert, there exists a lost ancient power deep in a pyramid buried beneath the sea of sand. No adventurer has dared ever search for this priceless relic, not for the fear of the vast desert but for the fear of the legends surrounding the griffons that protect it. Nomads traveling through the desert have said they felt an aura change in the air and soon follows the griffons flying overhead, their shreaking calls instantly filling the bravest mans heart with fear. With coordinated strikes, escaping a griffon attack is near impossible especially amongst the whipping sand blinding your every move. Sharp claws, the quick bite of an eagle, and the weight of a lion on top of you are the griffons most notable features. However, what truly seperates the griffon is their ability of flight. Allowing them to group in flocks and strike from the air makes them extremely deadly. Among the griffons, they have a leader that travelers have named Bernard. Most speculate this griffon came into direct contact with the relic inside the lost pyramid. Adorning a magical coat of armor, his speed is unmatched. Few that have seen him describe him as a blur in the sand. Witnesses of griffon attacks describe Bernard joining the battle as a death sentence, his cries and wings giving his fellow griffons a tailwind of speed and the strength to take down 10 men each. A foolhardy adventurer did once indeed seek out Bernard with the logic of slaying him and taking his armor to brave the pyramid and become even stronger. A crowd joined behind him, he cried out in the desert for Bernard to challenge him. From the sky, an ear piercing shriek stunted the man, and suddenely Bernard's weight collapsing on top of him completely shattering the man's armor. With the man's neck revealed, Bernard quickly bit his throat and killed him. Flying off in what seemed to be a blink of an eye, Bernard returned to his flock, forever holding the responsbility of protecting the ancient power.
