Heartbeats
Kaneki kissed Hide gently as he tangled his fingers into the blond's hair. The ghoul could feel the human's warm fingertips graze against his shoulder blades as if beckoning Kaneki to come closer. The couple pulled away from the kiss and rested their foreheads against each other's as the two let out soft pants. Hide's eyes looked dazed while his cheeks were bright red from the excitement and embarrassment. Hide felt Kaneki's finger lightly tug on his hair.
The two leaned in for another kiss that was deeper than the last. The two were getting more bold and confident as the realization of how much the other loves them sunk in. Hide began letting out soft moans as Kaneki started a rhythm with his hips grinding against Hide's.
"I love you." Hide whimpers softly. "I've always loved you, and I still do."
Kaneki grabs Hide's hand and places it over his heart. He let Hide feel how fast the ghoul's heart was beating. It was only beating this fast because of Hide - always for Hide.
Hide's cheeks changed into a deeper shade of red and looked away from Kaneki's piercing stare. Pale fingers traced Hide's jaw before Kaneki's hand tilted the blond's face so they were looking at each other again. Kaneki was still holding Hide's hand over his heart. Hide continued to avoid looking Kaneki in the eyes.
"Hide." Kaneki whispered. The ghoul's fingers, that were still holding Hide's chin, relaxed a bit. Kaneki's thumb gently traced Hide's bottom lip. "Hide."
Hide finally gave in and looked at Kaneki. As soon as their eyes met, Hide felt Kaneki's heart skip and race. Hide had this effect on Kaneki.
"I love you too, Hide." Kaneki said so lovingly.
Hide stretched his neck a bit so his lips kissed the back of Kaneki's hand; the hand that was still holding Hide's.
"I know." Hide says with a shy smile. "I can feel it."
This time it was Kaneki who blushed brightly. With a soft chuckle, Hide pulled Kaneki's hand to his mouth and kissed it again. The blond laced their fingers together and rested their hands above Hide's head. Kaneki mirrored Hide's actions with his other hand. Now both of Hide's hands were interlocked with Kaneki's above the blond's head. After a short pause, the two share another kiss.
