"Elsa?" The King went down the hall and knocked on her door. The little girl quietly opened the door and looked up at her father. He smiled.
"How's Mommy?" Elsa asked. She hadn't seen her mother in a few days, and was starting to get worried. A maid had told her that today was the day her mother was going to have her baby.
"She's fine. She's resting now, but you can see her tomorrow." The King picked up his daughter and started walking down the hall. "Would you like to meet your little sister?"
Elsa timidly approached the cradle in the nursery. Her father gave her a chair to stand on. She looked down at her new sister: a baby with bright blue eyes and light blonde hair. The baby looked up at Elsa, making little noises.
"Look, she has blue eyes. Just like me!" The King chuckled and nodded. "What's her name Daddy?"
"Anna"
Elsa smiled down at the baby. "Hi Anna. I'm your big sister." The baby smiled. Little frost etchings appeared where Elsa's hands rested, like every time she got excited. Elsa wondered if her sister would make snow like she did. She raised her hand, creating a swirl of snow.
A maid entered the room. She bowed to Elsa and smiled. "Congratulations Princess. You're a big sister." Elsa grinned.
"Yeah." She looked at Anna again before leaving the room. "And we're gonna be best friends."
