I do not own Harry Potter. Yes, what a shame. These drabbles were made in response to the All Colors project from Ledo Engano. Special thanks to SofiaLeith for being my beta reader! Enjoy.
Item no. 1, flowers.
—
James found it very awkward that the woman did not want to sell him a bunch of those flowers. He was not trying to complicate her life when he asked for a flower of each color — it was for a particular tribute, and it meant so many different things. She could try to be understanding; after all, it was Valentine's Day. At the end he managed to persuade her.
He walked timidly through the center of Hogsmeade, gloved hands holding the multicolored gift. He knew Teddy would be in the pub and delivering the flowers in front of everyone was part of the plan. It just was not part of his personality, and that was the problem. Rosie had not calculated it well. The blush on his face had no specific cause: cold weather, embarrassment, boldness... backing off was not an option.
He pushed the Three Broomsticks' door with his foot and stepped inside. It took five seconds for him to walk half way to Teddy's table, he was surrounded by his friends, and five more seconds for everyone look seriously at him.
James panicked and threw the bouquet on Teddy.
Outside, after nearly tripping over a pile of snow, strong arms entwined his waist and a husky voice whispered in his ear.
"Thank you."
Later they were able to celebrate the day properly, something that involved a warm room, chocolate and sweat.
