A/N:This story took a ridiculous amount of time to set up, hence why I am here half a month after posting the last chapter of "Lonely King". I wrote and scrapped at least 6 stories before this one because every time I thought I had a good story going it fell apart, but alas I am finally here with my next fanfiction, "His Lost Eve". Keep in mind this is a prologue, I'm simply using it to set the scene.
Disclaimer:I know what you're thinking, 'This guy is definitely the owner of Guilty Crown,' well I hate to disappoint you but I'm not and therefore I own nothing about the series. Deal with it.
She is still with me...No matter what happened on that day she will always be in my heart guiding my decisions and supporting me... I see her everyday in my memories, her rare, gentle smile filling me with confidence... Her songs fill my ears with her lovely voice, and give me joy and happiness...So, was she ever really gone in the first place?
I love you with all my heart, Inori.
~Shu
"Mr. Ouma what was she like?" The brown haired girl asked.
Shu sat up in his chair, "'She'?You going to have to be more specific, Isa."
"Papa talks about her all the time," Isa said, "he says they use to work together, I think her name was...Inori. Yeah,Inori."
"Didn't your dad tell you about her?" Shu asked.
"Papa said I should ask you, because you knew her the best,"
Shu sat back and closed his eyes, "She was a little reserved to say the least. She rarely expressed her emotions, making every smile that appeared on her face feel like a little reward from heaven. She was soft, kind, and caring, she did everything she could to protect the people she cared about...All the way up to the very end."
"What happened to her?" Isa asked curiously.
Shu tensed, but then relaxed. "She saved the world."
Isa realized this didn't fully answer her question, but instead of persisting, she asked another question, "Didn't you save the world?"
Shu smiled, "Is that what they're telling you kids in school, nowadays? No I didn't save the world, not by myself at least."
"Do you miss her?"
"No..." Shu said, "Because she's still with me."
Isa looked at him with wide eyes,"Really? Can I meet her, please, please, please!?"
Shu gave out an honest laugh and pointed his robotic index finger towards his chest,"She's not here physically, Isa, but she is here. I can assure you that."
"Woah! So is she like a ghost?"
Shu put his hand to his chin, "Ghost seems to spooky to describe Inori, spirit fits her better."
"Inori!" Isa called into the room, "Show yourself!"
"What are you doing? Do you think she'll appear just because your yelling at her?"
"Isn't this what they do in those ghost hunting sh-?"Her face paled.
"Isa?"Shu asked ,concerned as to why the child stopped mid-sentence.
Shu felt a familiar hand intertwine its fingers with his, Shu... That voice made his heart skip a beat,Shu...Danger...Shu...
Inori!? Suddenly the presence faded leaving the room in an eery silence.
"She was pretty,"Isa said, making Shu's blood turn to ice."I knew that would work."
"Isa, can you describe her for me?" Shu was barely able to keep his voice steady.
"Hmm, she had long pink hair. Her eyes were a really pretty red, and she was wearing a long red dress." She paused for a moment,"She looked like she was talking but for some reason I couldn't hear the words."
"So, it was her..."
Shu was completely baffled by the strange event, but one thing stood perfectly clear in his mind and that was Inori's voice saying the word danger.
What, danger?
