"Antonio!" Six year old Gabby yelled from her room. "Did you touch my stuff again?"

"No. Not my fault you lost your homework." Antonio called back from his room.

"Ugh. Are you sure?" she asked, walking into the doorway of his room.

"I'm positive. What have you lost this time?" he asked, turning around.

"Don't worry. You won't understand." She replied, walking out and back to her room, closing her door behind her.

"I'm sure I will. What have you lost?" he asked again, opening her bedroom door.

"The necklace Daddy gave me before he left for work and didn't come back." She replied, gesturing to their father's untimely death on the job a year ago.

"Oh Gabs. I will help you find it." Antonio said, picking his sister up. "Where did you last have it?"

"I took it off last night before bath. I looked in the bathroom and it's not there." She replied as they walked to the bathroom.

"I will look in the top cabinets and you look in the bottom." He said, opening the top cabinets and searching through.

"Anything?" she asked, closing the last door.

"No. What about you?" he replied, closing the last door as well.

"No. Maybe Mom moved it to my jewellery box in her room." Gabby replied, walking towards their mother's room.

"The one she won't let you touch until your thirteen?" he asked, stopping her.

"Yeah." she replied, looking up at him.

"Then I don't think it will be in there." he replied, walking towards her room.

"Well then, where else should we look?" she asked, sighing.

"Your room. Search under your bed and drawers and everywhere and I will look at your desk and wardrobe." Antonio said, walking over to her desk.

"Ok." She replied, walking over and looking in her drawers.

"Did you put the necklace back on after your bath?" he asked,

"Yeah, I always do." She replied, turning around.

"Did you wear it to bed?" he asked.

"Yeah, but I went to the park with you yesterday remember." Gabby said, sitting on her bed.

"Well then, let's go." He said, picking her up and grabbing their coats.

"What about Mom?" she asked, as her brother set her down outside to put her coat on.

"Mom is at work. We won't take long I promise." Antonio said, taking her hand and walking down their street to the park.

"Go looking over at the swing sets and I will look over at the slide." He said, pushing her one way.

"Ok." She replied, walking off towards the swing sets where some other children were playing.

"Oh look, here comes Gabriela." One of the girls mocked.

"Leave me alone." Gabby said, looking at the ground carefully.

"What are you looking for Dawson?" another girl called, hopping off the swings.

"None your business." Gabby replied, looking up as the girl made her way over.

"Looking for this?" the girl replied, holding up Gabby's necklace.

"Give that back!" Gabby said sternly.

"Why? Does it belong to you?" the girl asked, looking at the necklace in her hands.

"Yes. My Daddy gave it to me." She replied, standing her ground.

"Did he now? Well finders keepers, losers weepers." The girl taunted.

"Please give it back to me." Gabby said pleading with the girl.

"No. I found it, so it belongs to me now." The girl said, turning and bumping into Antonio.

"Give her the necklace." Antonio said, pointing to his sister.

"Yes sir." She replied, turning and giving it to Gabby.

"Thankyou." Gabby said, putting it on.

"See you at school loser." The girl said, before running off with her friends.

"Ignore them Gabby." Antonio said, picking her up.

"Thankyou. Your the best!" Gabby exclaimed hugging her brother and kissing his cheek.

"I try." He replies, as they made their way home.

The End.
