"What is it, Gokudera-kun?"

Bright orange ray of the sunset was shining behind his silky brown hair. Looking into his big brown eyes, Gokudera couldn't say anything. They walked the same road they used to, from school to his house, saw the same peaceful neighborhoods, and talked about same daily school life. But that's not what Gokudera wanted to do. Standing in front of his house, in front of him with the curious look, all Gokudera could do was just to smile.

"No, nothing. It's just a... I wanted to say... good night."

"Um... Are you sure? You look... kind of sad."

His worried face, that's not what Gokudera wanted to see. One short sentence, it wouldn't come out easily.

"Really. That's all... Well, then, good night, juuaime."

"Yeah, you too."

Gokudera stayed still until he saw the last glimpse of brown hair disappear behind the door. Then he started walking. Alone, he went back the same way he just walked with his beloved one. His bright green eyes filled with regret and pain. His silvery hair hung over his face, hiding his bitter smile. One short sentence. He was afraid of saying it. He was scared of what will happen after saying it. He was just... a coward, frightened of the unknown future..

10 years later

It was peaceful night, with stars shining ever so brightly in the sky. There, Tsuna stood alone in the rose garden of the Vongola castle. Life in the Italy was hard, with all the dirty jobs that mafias were supposed to do. But he could keep up with it, thanks to his friends. Looking up the beautiful night sky, he smiled bitterly.

"Juudaime...? What are you doing here in this late hour?"

Familiar voice rang softly from behind. As Tsuna turned around, beautiful silvery hair captured his eyes. It was the greens eyes that always gave Tsuna comfort. It was the voice that he wished to hear for his whole life.

"Just... nothing. I wanted to see the night sky. Isn't it beautiful? Especially the stars... They are like... your hair."

His faced slightly blushed, came closer to where Tsuna was standing. There, they stood together, close enough for their hands to brush against each other.

"...Juudaime," As he started talking in very low voice, Tsuna turned to him, knowing exactly what he was trying to say. The bitter smile was still there, but the brown eyes started to fill with water."I... wanted to say this for... long time."

"Yes... I know."

"I... I really... love you."

He didn't lift his face. His green eyes were no where to be seen. His trembling voice echoed. Tsuna slowly reached his face. His warmth flowed into Tsuna's cold hand.

"I'm... sorry, Gokudera-kun. I really am..."

Silence remained between them. Tsuna's hand slowly dropped from the warmth, so slow that it seemed like he was waiting for something to stop him. Then, he walked away. Leaving his beloved one behind.

"But... I love you, too."

He whispered when he reached an empty hallway. Tears were flowing down his cheek like raindrops. He knew what would happen after this. He couldn't bear to make it worse. He, too, was a coward, afraid of the foreseen future.

"What..? Wha, What did you just..."

"Hey, Gokudera... I know it's... just too hard to accept... but... Tsuna's... dead."

"He went to the compromise with Millefiore alone."

Yamamoto and Hibari stood still in front of Gokudera's work station. They had bandages around their body, showing that they did their best to save their boss. Gokudera fell into the chair behind him. Tears filled his green eyes, his mouth opened and panting. His body started to shake faintly. He cried out loud, voice full of pain, agony, and regret. The cry echoed, high and high, until it reached the blue sky. So blue, that it almost looked empty...

If I just had courage to say that short one sentence...
