Starting a drabble challenge where I got a list of prompts and have to write something for each one. This collection will be all Artie/Tina stories. The full list of prompts will be up on my profile soon. I'm thinking that these will be individual stories.

It's 2 am and Tina can't fall asleep. She knows that if she doesn't, she'll look like hell tomorrow, but her mind just won't shut up. When the clock changes to 6:30, she'll have to get up and go to school. Her stomach churns at that thought. They had just moved to Ohio from Wisconsin, and she was starting seventh grade. To make matters worse, in was Friday, and school had already been in session for a week. She was going to stick out like a sore thumb because of her late coming, if her odd clothes and stutter didn't first. Making friends was going to be next to impossible, and with that thought weighing on her mind, she turns over and drifts off into an uneasy sleep.
It's 2 am and Tina can't fall asleep. At least the next day is a weekend so it doesn't matter very much. This night, however, she isn't tossing and turning with worry. She keeps replaying the days' events in her head. Someone – a boy – came up to her at lunch and asked if he could sit with her. They ended up talking the entire lunch period, and not once did he mention her stutter or cast a glance her fishnet gloves or safety pins. He was nice, she thought with a slight smile, and maybe, just maybe……a friend. With that very comforting thought, she rolled over and fell asleep with a smile on her face, thinking about how much a difference one day could make.
