Title: Reasons for Writing
Author: Ron Weasley (well, technically, Writer With Sprite, but who's counting?)
Summary: For once, Ron's getting a head start on his summer writing assignments. This one, "Why do I write," is from his least favorite instructor. What does Ron put down for his reasons for writing?
Rating: K
Why do I write?
10. I write because the words flow freely from the page.
9. I write because it's a release from reality.
8. I write because it's something to do, an escape, something to delve into when I'm anxious, tired or depressed.
7. I write because I can relax, finally, and put myself on paper.
6. I write because I can avoid half of the family arguments this way.
5. I write because when I'm writing, I can plot revenge on Fred and George. Almost blanked on my own brother's name for a minute and called him Frank.
4. I write because I like to see the words stack up on paper.
3. I write because I'd like to see my name in print. (Just kidding).
2. I write to improve my handwriting.
1. I write because I can.
P.S. It took a lot of looking to find your summer address, Mr. Snape. Why did you assign this during the bloody summer – and what does it have to do with potions?
Oh, wait, or was I supposed to write about why I like to write about potions?
You really should've been more clear in your instructions…
Thus ends why I, Ronald Weasley, write.
A/N: Well, thus concludes the very short drabble. Although I'm not actually sure it could be considered a drabble, as drabbles are technically 100 words. Thus ends my first Harry Potter fic. I hope you enjoy. If you liked, please read, review, and leave feedback.
