For the last time since you have been trudging along this same dirt road you lift your head only to find that since it was last lifted your surroundings have changed dramatically, before you were in a dark forest leaves brushing against your legs you should of realised that the leaves could no longer be felt, squinting slightly you look out in front of you it is near impossible to see with all of this thick smoke clogging your view, but one thing was for sure you were lost not that it mattered anyway seeing as you did tell your family you were going for a hike for the week, but still it would be nice actually knowing were you were.
Lifting you hand towards your eyes to shield them the slightest from the smoke, you stare out into the blackness seeing nothing yet hearing everything, the bubbling of something could be heard in the distance and soft foot steps could be heard from some what far away, "Hello?" You call out as loud as your parched throat would let you, stopping completely now in your steps you listening intently now noticing that the footsteps had stopped for a moment or two before picking up their pace and getting closer towards your trembling body, not that you were cold or anything the air around here was quiet warm.
Your hands fumble around in front of you and out to the sides to find something to hide behind in case the thing that was coming towards you was dangerous. A small tick goes of in your head as the hard concrete like material crossed path with your fingers, shuffling closer towards the rock you crouch down beside it and await till the creature came in to view.
Keeping as quiet as possible you hear the footsteps right near the rock were you are hiding, moving your head slightly out the front of the rock your eyes dart around madly to find the creature that was some were close, sighing deeply thinking that what ever it was, was actually gone you rest your head against the rock averting your gaze to look upwards only to find your self face to face with a creature of a blood red, your breathing stops and your lungs begin to hurt like they were being stepped on deciding not to move thinking that he would not go for you, you decide to just stare up at him blood red eyes staring back in to your own petrified eyes, shivering slightly you look at his face which had more frightening things on them, horns and many of them the small one that was resting in between his nostrils looked the least harmful, that was until the horse seemed to get larger and more sharp a they moved up his face.
"Si….six" You hear your self whisper counting his horns, with raspy breathing, shuffling backwards you decide it would be better to rise upon your feet and for some odd reason you follow what your brain was telling to and ever so slowly to rise to your feet only to find your self looking a creature that was only a meter or so above your head and you only stood…well lets just say you could be taller, gasping for the first time since you laid eyes on the beast you found yourself studying him severely from were his six face horns stopped two others had grown curling behind his swivelling ears like a rams, and after that a singular row of bone marrow spikes ran down the back of his neck, all down his spine to the base of his tail.
Stopping at that the male gave a snort blowing small flickers of flames forcing you to step back slightly, as angry as he looked he seemed rather reluctant to attack you which in some ways made you feel much better about approaching him, not stepping out to the side you slightly lean of to your right to look at the rest of his body, one thing catching your eyes seeming that it glistened even in this smog! Three rings thin yet attractive were fastened tightly around the base of his tail were the spikes seemed to end.
