A/N : So this was a random idea that came to me; and I love the way it turned out, a little short then what I usually write, but I think it has a good message.

As they reconnected their friendship, they found that their relationship had flourished into something more; at least in the media and fans eyes. With the headlines, gossip, and rumors surronding them, they naturally began distancing themselves from one another; causing even more speculation. Each glance and words that came out of their mouths were over-analyzed to the max. Who knew becoming friends with someone would cause this much chaos around the world?
Truth was, when they first decided to repair their broken friendship, both of them still had hope that they could get back together again. Hell, with all the media circuits eyeing their every move, their hopes slowly vanished into thin air. They were just two sixteen year olds trying to live their lives. But, with all the added pressure and negativity, they were always holding themselves back; afraid of the consequences. Being with Disney didn't help either, they only saw them as cash cows constantly bringing the company money.
Although hope was lost, their feelings told quite a different story. Both of them were in love with each other. But they never acted upon it, they knew the outcome. It would only repeat last year's drama, causing more heartbreak and plastered on fake smiles. At least they were friends. But hell, that was slowly fading away. Because of them. The media.
Miley would never understand why she gets hated on for every little thing she does. These people, saying the cruel nasty remarks, didn't know her personally. If the tables were turned, she was pretty sure they wouldn't like some random person trashing them. She knew she didn't. Every word in the book had been used to describe her, and that emotionally hurt her.
Nick would never understand some of his fan girls that were more involved in his personal life, rather then the music. They never seemed to be satisfied; constantly downing every girl he's seen with. That's why he rarely showed his emotions in public; they would always pinpoint it back to a girl.
But most of all, they'll never understand why they don't fight to be together. With all the money they've put in Disney's pockets, they've never asked for special treatment. And the one thing they ask for, they get shunned. Their worlds shouldn't have to revolve around Disney, fans, and the media- but they let it. But, not anymore, they were going to fight.
& all the lost hope was restored.
