Killua had been hiding in a tree. His skateboard under his arm and his body pressed against the trunks.

Canary, who had been send to search for him, went to stand in front of the tree. "Killua-sama."

Killua hmp'ed and landed in front of her, no sound to his landing. "Who send you to find me?"

"Your mother did, Killua-sama."

"Tell her that I'm not coming back today." The boy didn't feel like going back to the mansion. He preferred sleeping on the tree.

"Killua-sama-"

"Go away." He ordered sharply, not wanting to talk to her any longer.

Canary fought the urge to sigh. "I've been given orders by your mother, Killua-sama. She wishes you to return to the main household immediately."

Killua snorted. "I don't want to. If she really wants me to go back home she should have come herself instead of sending you, Canary... Well, I wouldn't have listened to that crazy woman anyway."

Canary stared at him with slight surprise. You remembered my name..."

The pale boy blushed before looking away. "W-Whatever..."

"Killua-sama, the mistress will become angry if you don't return to the mansion."

Killua frowned and glared at her. "I don't care, go away Canary." He puffed his cheeks. "It's not like I'm planning on running away or something like that..."

"Killua-sama..." Canary started hesitantly. "What happened on your last mission with master Illumi?"

Said boy sat against the tree and looked down. "He killed him..."

Canary hesitantly sat next to him. "Who? The target?"

Killua shook his head without looking at her. "After we finished off the target, I accidentally ran into a younger boy. I apologized and the boy smiled at me, saying it was alright. He then asked me if I just moved here and if we could be friends... A-And then..." The boy's shoulders started shaking.

"And then?" Canary urged gently.

"I-Illu-nii killed the boy..." He sobbed. "It's not fair! The boy didn't do anything wrong, why did Illu-nii have to be so cruel?"

Canary hugged the smaller boy. In the corner of her eye she was looking at her surroundings, making sure that they weren't being watched; that would cause trouble for both Killua and her.

After a few minutes, the boy stopped crying and wipped away his tears. He blushed. "D-Don't tell this to anyone..." He felt embarrassed by the fact that Canary saw him cry.

"I won't." Canary smiled at him. She didn't notice the fact that she was running her hand through his soft fluffy hair.

They stayed like that for a while until Killua spoke up, "Say Canary?"

"Yes Killua-sama?"

"Can you just call me Killua?"

"Killua-sama, I'm not supposed to..." Canary protested.

"I know, I know." The kid grinned at her. "But can you call me like that when it's only us two?" He placed his hand on his chin, thinking. "I know that we're not friends but I'm your master, I'm going to order you to call me Killua when we aren't in presence of another butler or my family, alright?"

A faint smile appeared on the butler's face. "Alright... Killua."

The boy grinned at her before gently pushing her away and standing up. He tucked his skateboard under his arm and waited patiently for the girl to stand up. "Are you going to escort me back?"

She nodded. They started walking. "Hey Canary..."

'Yes?"

"Thank you."

She smiled at him.

A/N: Is this even an oneshot? Man, I suck at one shots. Anyway there are only two KilluaxCanary fics, this being the third one. Dang it!
