Colors
Black and White.
It's all I can see. No color, no difference. It's just a matter of perspective to me. That was the case until I graduated college and met a certain girl. She brought colors to my eyes and her beauty lightened my world.
Purple, Blue, Orange.
So many colors, so many choices. A truly spectacular sight when I first became aware of it. We got engaged and soon married. I had a job in the Army, and she would work at home as a housewife. It was a peaceful time indeed.
Green and Yellow.
The forest had never looked prettier when we went on our first date. At first is was different shades of black, but now I could see the vibrant greens, the luscious yellow of the sunlight. It was a sight to intake no matter who you were. We would all get to see it eventually as well.
Red.
It was a brisk summer day as I worked away at training the new recruits in the army. It was my 6th anniversary with dear Rena. I was ready to go home when everything turned bleak.
Black and White.
Her dead body. It never leaves my mind. Slaughtered, raped, tortured, and killed… My world returned to Black and White once more as the only one I held dearly close to me had faded away, just like the colors of my world…
