"Ok, now I suppose you're wondering why I've gathered you all here." Baron Arald said to the audience before him. (AN: Why do most fanfics begin this way, with someone saying you're wondering why I've gathered you all blah blah blah.) He had called Will, Halt, Alyss, Lady Pauline, and Gilan to Castle Redmont, saying he had 'something to show them all.'
"Well, get on with it." Gilan said, making the 'get on with it' gesture with his had.
"Ok, I'v invented a computer." The baron was met with blank faces.
"A what?" Will asked.
"A computer. There's this thing called a router and it projects this thing called wifi and that allows the computer to get onto Google. I can then get into future files stored there. There's a lot of stuff about us, though I don't recommend reading it. Some is quite...interesting." Arald eyed Will and Halt. (AN: Referencing all those Will/Halt fanfics.)
"Kay." Alyss said. She had seen how Arald had watch Halt and Will, and understood why a while later.
"But that's besides the point, look at this!" Arald clicked a few times and a black void opened. "I've tossed some stuff through, and I have a good reason to believe that this takes us to the future."
"Really? I think he's gone senile." Halt said, addressing the last part to everyone else.
"I have not gone crazy." Arald said, and Halt seemed to say 'see? Told you' with his eyes and everyone laughed.
"Let's goooooooo..." Gilan said, jumping in. His voice faded as he went in farther, and Will's eyes bulged.
"He's gone!" Will said incredulously.
"He is a Ranger. We're kind of trained to disappear." Halt said, hiding a grin.
"He's gone!" Will repeated.

"Just had to do that." Will said, grinning. Halt just rolled his eyes.
