Rapunzel sighed sadly as she looked out her window at the falling snow. "I wish I could go outside." She knew that snow was cold, but she'd never really experienced it. "Well then, come on out!" Rapunzel jumped, hearing the voice. She turned around, and not seeing anybody, reached for her trusty frying pan. "Who's there?" She called out. She turned and looked back outside the window, and... "BOO!" Jack Frost jumped at the poor girl. "Ahhhh!" Rapunzel shrieked as she swung her frying pan all over the place. "Hey, hey! Take it easy!" Jack put his hands up in surrender, trying to avoid the deadly frying pan. "Okay, okay! You win! You win!" But Rapunzel wasn't listening. Jack eventually grabbed the frying pan from her grasp. Rapunzel then backed away, into a corner of her bedroom. "Hey, it's alright!" Jack said gently. "Please! D-don't hurt me!" Rapunzel whimpered, her slender body shaking in sheer fear. He took her hand. "I'm Jack. Jack Frost." He said. "What's your name?" Rapunzel jumped at his chilly touch. "R-Rapunzel." "I'm not going to hurt you, Rapunzel." "Promise?" Rapunzel asked cautiously. "I've never been more serious in my life!" Jack replied. "Now, didn't you just say you wanted to go outside?" Rapunzel sighed. "Yes, but Mother won't let me." Jack let go of her small hand. "Do you trust me?" Rapunzel bit her bottom lip thoughtfully. After a moment, she replied, "Yes." "Then come here." Jack held out his hand. In his other hand was a long staff that she hadn't noticed before. Rapunzel stepped closer to him. Jack put his arm around her thin waist. She laid her hands on his chest. Jack looked at her hands, then smirked. "Um, you might want to hold on tighter." "Why?" Rapunzel asked, innocently confused. "Because we're going to fly." Before Rapunzel could respond, he jumped out of her tower window. Rapunzel looked down, then immediately buried her face in his neck. "Don't worry. I won't drop you." And that was the beginning of their journey.
