AN: Hey guys! So I just created this new account after abandoning a story on my old one, and I'm just letting you know that I am not a frequent updater and probably never will be... sorry! Anyhow, I'm going to try and extend this idea, I'm really into Percabeth fluff 3 (I mean, who isn't?), but I'm going to try and make it so each chapter could be a standalone story, to keep people from wanting to kill me from lack of updates.
Happy Reading!
~Cam
She was falling.
Whispers in her ear, clawing at her back, biting her feet.
Her shirt was torn and bloody. The wind stole her warmth as she fell.
She looked around frantically, trying to move past the feeling of her stomach as she dropped.
He wasn't there.
She finally hit solid ground and a sickly sweet smell filled her nose, making her woozy.
"Goodbye, Child of Athena. You will die alone."
Annabeth woke up sobbing, still filled with despair. It wasn't until her vision cleared that she realized she was surrounded by her friends on Argo II. Percy was right in front of her, holding her, his skin warm and his hair damp. He smelled like the ocean. She held onto that thought and saw the ocean in her mind as she calmed down.
"Annabeth, are you okay? What happened?" Piper looked just as worried as Percy, her hair all tousled, a nice pair to the flannel pjs.
"Y-Yeah. I'm fine." Annabeth croaked, still shaking. "Just a dream. You guys should go back to bed," her friends did not seem satisfied. "I'm fine, really!" Annabeth said again, more forcefully. Finally, her friends left her room. All but Percy.
"I don't want to leave you," he whispered in her ear.
"Then don't," she matched his tone and motioned to a space next to her on the bed. He nodded and shifted positions so that they were lying down, his chest on her back.
"I'm having nightmares, too." He confessed.
She nodded and grabbed his hand, pulling him closer. She kissed him gently.
"Together," she said.
