Ever since Rafael Barba asked me to marry him and I said yes, I have been on cloud nine. My days have passed in a blur of wedding plans and work. Now, I am engaged in a passioned argument with myself as my hand hovers over my desk phone. Should I call Don? His last words to me echo through my mind: "My door is open Liv. Anytime day or night, just know that I am here for you." With that in mind, I take a deep breath and dial a number almost as familiar to me as my own.

"Don Cragen." I smile, instantly recognizing the voice that replies. "Don, hey it's Liv. Can you come to the precinct? I really need to talk to you." I grab my coat as I walk out. "Of course. I'll see you in twenty minutes."

True to his word, Donald Cragen arrived at his former place of employment twenty minutes later. He politely greeted his former squad before making his way to her office.

I smile softly before tackling Don, wrapping my arms around him in a bear hug. "Why hello to you too!" I pull back after a few seconds, a smile on my face.

"Okay, which perp did you kill?" I roll my eyes, playfully punching his shoulder. It is then he notices my engagement ring. Don reaches over, taking my hand in his as he inspects the ring. "Is there anything you want to tell me?"

Her breath hitched as she looked at him, a smile brightening her face. "Yea, I am engaged. His name is Rafael Barba, and he's amazing." He reached up, using his free hand to cup her cheek. "I love you so much, you know that right Liv?"

My breath hitches as tears pour down my face. I try to gather the courage to say what I truly feel. This is Don, my...my...my dad. I don't have to be tough as nails Lieutenant Benson right now. I can be myself, be Olivia. "You are my dad in everything but blood, and I would love it if you gave me away."

Donald Cragen smiled, gently pulling her forward until her head rested on his shoulder. "It would be my honour."
