'You're All Alone' By Remus, Aged 10

I cannot be alone in here

This barn, it holds all of my fears

The sun will turn its back on me

The moon; It shines. How bright it be

The days grow long,

the nights grow cold

I have no one in here to hold

Each month is harder,

Each month I pray:

Next month nothing!

Next month I'm saved!

But my dreams and hopes are all in vein

…but maybe there'll be someone on they way

A friend perhaps! To stop me moan!

And I will not look on this night and groan!

'Oh Remus, you fool,' I'll say with a tone

'Remember this well: You're all alone.'
