Throughout the war, Jedis were told that they were not allowed to form attachments, and not to be in love. At planet Kamino a clone name "Cody" was just doing his normal duties like any other clone would do at these times. He was wondering about love. He was wondering if he could find any love out there in the galaxy. But he doesn't wanna take the chance of getting himself and the Jedi in trouble. The Jedi would be expelled and displaced from the Temple. I think it would happen to the clone too.

Kamino.

At planet Kamino, Cody was promoted as Commander. For now, they call him "Commander Cody." After he got promoted, he went to his room and sat down on his bed thinking. Thinking about love. But he knew he would be in trouble if he and the Jedi were caught. After thinking for a while, some other clones came in the room.

"Hey Cody. Congratulations on the promotion." Sky said.

"Thanks. It's not that big of a deal anyway." Cody replied.

"Not that big of a deal? Dude, you're Commander now. You should be proud."

"Sky, look, I know you're being respectful, and I respect that, but I don't need any of this. You don't need to please me." Cody said with a respectful tone.

"Okay...no problem."

"Thank you."

"Anyway, we were called in for guard duty." George informed.

"Guard duty? Where?" Cody asked.

"At Miral. They said; We were suppose to guard a Jedi there, and it's a female." George informed.

"Who is this...female Jedi?" Cody asked curiously.

"The name of the female Jedi is; Barriss Offee. We will leave tomorrow morning. So get ready for tomorrow Cody." George informed.

"Okay...I will."

After George informed Cody about the guard duty mission, they left the room. Then Cody took off his armor and went to sleep.

Morning.

When the morning sun arrived, Commander Cody got up from his bed, strapped himself in his armor, put on his helmet, grabbed his blaster, and went out the door.

Then he went to the ship bay and got on a republic ship. Then he and his soldiers flew off to Mirial.

Mirial.

After they left Kamino, they arrived at Mirial. When they landed, every clone came out of the ship, including Commander Cody. Then they spotted a big tent on the way. After they found the tent, Commander Cody started to become confuse.

"...Um...I wasn't expecting a big tent to be here. Could Barriss be in there?" Cody asked in confusion.

"Yeah. She is in there. Me and George will guard the outside. You will guard the inside."

"Are you saying; I'm gonna guard Barriss alone?"

"Yeah, pretty much." Sky replied.

"Uh...alright then."

Then he went inside the tent and found Barriss sitting down cross-legged with her eyes closed. She was meditating. While she was meditating, she sensed someone in the room. When Cody found out she was meditating he began to walk out the tent but Barriss stopped him.

"No...don't leave." Barriss started.

"Sorry, I didn't want to disturb you." Cody replied.

"It's okay...I was focusing real hard, so I wasn't being disturbed. Are you Commander Cody?"

"Yes. How did you know my name?"

"The Council told me; You were to be my guard. Guarding me."

"Oh...okay then."

"...Take a seat...Commander Cody."

"Uh...alright."

Then he sat across Barriss cross-legged and putted his blaster on the floor.

"How are you Commander Cody?"

"Just call me Cody for short."

"Okay. So how are you?"

"I'm fine, you?"

"I'm great."

"That's good. I was told that Jedi are not allowed to form attachments or to fall in love. Is that true?" Cody asked.

"...Yes...it's true." Barriss replied. "It's just not fair. When Luminara was told of this, she told me not to fall in love with someone. If I was in love with someone, I would be expelled from the Jedi Order." Barriss said in a disappointment tone.

"Now, that's not fair at all. Why would they expel a Jedi from the Order, just because they were in love?" Cody asked.

"I don't know. That's just their rules."

"...It would be nice to be in love, don'tchu think?" Cody asked.

"Yes. It would be nice to be in love with someone that you like. You can cuddle with that person if you were lonely, you can do a lot of things with that person, and a hole bunch of other things. But do you know what else would be nice Cody?" Barriss asked.

"What?" Cody asked curiously.

"...Marrying that person. And having a baby too. Would it be nice?" Barriss asked.

"Yeah...that would be the best thing in life."

"...Cody?"

"Yeah?"

"Um...would you mind if you...let me see your face?" Barriss asked.

"...Really?"

"Yes."

"Um...alright."

Then Cody began to take off his helmet. After he took it off, Barriss was in awe of his face.

"...So?" Cody asked.

"...Your face...it's beautiful."

"Really?...Thank you. Your face is beautiful too."

"Thank you Cody."

"Would you mind if I see your...hair?"

"Really?...You want to see it?"

"Yes...if you don't mind."

"Alright."

Then she began removing her hoodie. After her hoodie was removed, Cody was in awe of her hair. "Wow...your hair...it's beautiful." Cody commented.

"Thank you Cody."

"It's colored black? I was expecting a different color. Like dark purple or something."

"The color of the hair doesn't matter. I wanted this color."

"Oh...okay then."

Then he received a transmission from his comlink.

"Hello? Who is this?"

"This is headquarters! Be advised, some Separatist battle droids are heading your way!"

"Got it."

He ended the transmission and put his helmet back.

"Looks like we got some clankers to demolish."

"Yes...indeed we do."

"Let's go."

After they went outside, battle droids appeared and fired their blasters at them. Cody went to duck and cover, and Barriss deflected the blaster bolts away from her.

Cody took out as many battles droids as he could with his blaster, and with many other equipment that he used on them. Then out of nowhere, a battle droid shot him in the arm, and he fell to the ground groaning in pain. Then the battle droid came closer with his blaster pointing at Cody.

"Any last words republic dog?

Before Cody could answer, Barriss came from behind and sliced the droid in half.

"Are you alright?" Barriss asked.

"I'm fine. But I got shot in the arm."

"Let's go back in the tent. I can heal you."

"What? You can heal?"

"Yes. Now come on. We're all clear now. They're all dead."

"...Alright."

"Sky. George. Back to your positions!" Barriss commanded.

"Yes ma'am!" Both of them said.

Then Barriss led Cody inside the tent. After she led him inside, she began healing his arm.

"...I didn't know you were a Jedi healer."

"Well...now you know. I can heal other things too."

"Like what?"

"Jedis, clones, employees, and some other things."

After a while of healing Cody, the wound was healed. "There you go." Barriss said after letting go of his arm. "Hey...you did it...it's healed!" Cody said in a surprised tone.

"You're welcome Commander Cody."

Then Sky came into the tent to inform Cody.

"Hey Cody...our guard duty is done...we can leave now." Sky informed. "Alright. Call in a ship to pick us up." Cody commanded. Then Sky went out the tent and started calling in a ship to pick them up.

"Cody...I thank you for protecting me."

"You're welcome Barriss. It was part of the job."

"...I wonder if we'll see each other again." Barriss wondered. "Yeah. I wonder if we'll see each other again too." Cody wondered.

Then Cody received a transmission from his comlink.

"Alright Cody, let's go. The ships are here." Sky informed.

"Alright. I'm coming."

Then the transmitter ended.

"Well...I must be going now."

"Yes...you should. You know, I'm always at the Jedi Temple. Maybe we can meet with each other there."

"That'll be great."

"Alright then...good day Commander Cody."

"Good day Barriss Offee."

Then Cody went out the tent, entered the ship, and flew back to Kamino.
