An: So I usually stick to writing Jack/Gwen stuff, but i have been asked to have a go at some Jack/Ianto, which to be honest i read a hell of a lot and love too, i'm a bi pairing kind of gal, so please be gentle if its rubbish, but equally please let me know if you like it! Thanks
It was cold out, the kind of cold you could feel all the way through to your bones. Jack let out a deep breath, it curled around him like smoke as he walked along the bay. He liked walking around Cardiff late at night, a kind of peace descended on the city around the bay area, away from the pounding beats of the clubs and bars in the area. He leant over the rail, peering to down to the sea below, the darkness making it look like a giant ink pot.
"Not thinking of jumping are you Sir?" a Welsh lilt spoke from behind him.
A grin spread over Jack's face before he turned around, coming face to face with the owner of that rich, soothing voice.
"Ianto, seriously, can we lose the sir now? " he pleaded, clasping his hands in front of his chest and dipping his head slightly at the man in front of him.
"Force of habit," Ianto started, but Jack noticed the corner of his mouth lift slightly, dimpling his cheek and making Jack's pulse race. Ianto moved to sit on the floor, legs dangling over the edge, leaning on the middle rail with his arms; he looked up at Jack and patted the ground beside him, a light smile on his face. Jack joined him and they mirrored each other's position, both swinging their legs, occasionally bumping each other with a thigh or ankle.
Jack glanced over to Ianto to say something but stopped himself short when he saw him leaning back on the palms of his hands, eyes shut and head tilted toward the night sky.
"Ianto..." Jack whispered, leaning slightly closer to him, his breath ghosting across his ear.
"Hmm..." he mumbled in reply, not moving.
"What are you doing? It's dark, and you look like you are trying to sunbathe." Jack replied
"Shhh. I'm relaxing, just close your eyes and listen to the water." Ianto scolded slightly.
Jack did as he was told and closed his eyes, he had to admit, it was relaxing and he found his mind wandering to times past and technically, future too.
He felt Ianto shift slightly beside him, but before he could turn his head he felt the soft pressure of warm, soft lips on his. His eyes shot open and were met by equally bright and beautiful pools of blue.
Ianto pulled back, gaze tracking downwards, but Jack tilted Ianto's head up and treated him to a wicked grin before he captured his mouth in a heated kiss.
They reluctantly broke apart as Jacks phone sounded out across the bay. He looked apologetically towards Ianto as he took the call. After he hung up, he got to his feet and held a hand out, pulling Ianto up next to him.
"We have to get back, rift alert." He said frowning slightly.
Ianto smiled a soft sweet smile at him, kissed him on the cheek and then took off at a run back towards the hub. Jack chuckled to himself and took off after him, smiling all the way home.
