AN. I hope this isn't horrible! I am really bored, and need this to help me write a story. The real story is on WEbook with all the real names and everything, but I didnt' change anything in this story except for the names, I swear.

Preface

A young man stood, hidden in a doorway as he watched the scene before him. A woman, about seventeen years of age, lay on the metal gurney, thrashing and screaming as three men held her down. Their silver eyes glistened in the dim light of the lamp.

The doctor, father of the man in the shadows, Dr. Carlisle Cullen, stepped forward, a look of heartache on his face. This was his least favorite part of the job.

He gently grabbed her right wrist from one of the men, and grabbed a heavy silver bracelet from a nearby table. When she saw it, she screamed, as if the sight of it physically harmed her. Tears stained her cheeks as the doctor locked the cuff around her wrist.

The sight of the cuff on her wrist harmed the man to an extreme degree. Her screams burned into his mind, seared, stinging and permanent.

The true pain was buried beneath the meaning of the bracelet this beautiful woman now wore. This woman, her long, black hair fanned around her, as she finally lay still and silent after the multiple hours she had spent here, was damned to a fate that even a murderer didn't deserve. The bracelet was the ticket of death, the key to it's door.

Young, Isabella Swan would be damned to an immortal life, a living hell that ceased to end. She would become a vampire.

BPOV

Three men were at my sides, holding me in place as I fought. It didn't seem as though it were a life threatening situation, but it was more fatal than anyone could possibly imagine. Before, when I was little, I used to dream of the immpossible. I had always been facinated by Immortals, and had craved to be one. Years later, my dream was going to come true, and now I feared it.

I could see a faint sparkle in the corner, and turned my head more fully. It was another one of them. He was young, and extrodinarily handsome, and reminded me remarkably of a god. His untidy bronze hair hung in his eyes, and he appeared upset. His calm, cool expression seemed as though it would shatter in an instant.

Another man walked in, and I knew the reason for his presense. His face was filled with heartache, and I recognized him as the doctor. He gently took my hand, though still tight enough to stop me from snatching it back. With his other hand he reached over, and grabbed a small silver bracelet. It seemed no different from others, but I knew the meaning behind it.

I fought harder, desperate to not allow him to lock it on my wrist. Pain crossed his face, and the mechanism locked. I immediately went limp. There was no reason to fight anymore.

I turned my head to lock my gaze with the man in the shadows. He too seemed pained. Tears poured relentlessly down my cheeks as I realized my fate.

I will be forced to fullfill the dream I never really believed would happen. I would be cursed to a life that would have once seemed like a blessing. My life was alrieady over. I, Isabella Swan, would become a vampire.

AN. I hope you liked the preface! I know it seems weird, and doesn't make sense, because how can it be a love story if her life is over? Well trust me, there will be. I am going to try to make this as long as I can, and I want to do a sequel if I can, so I hope you like it!
