Rock em Sock em Mutants
"I fear that I will never understand your reasoning sometimes, Magnus." Charles said frantically mashing his joystick, his red robot bopping Magnetos' green one in the face.
"Have you even tried?" Magneto responded clicking away at his joystick like a maniac. "Years of pandering to those pathetic humans, can dull even your mind Charles."
"Oh, I'm pandering? Here I thought my X Men and I, were creating a better future for mutants everywhere, your children included." Charles shot back unfazed, not taking his eyes off the ring.
"Their future is safe in my hands." he answered promptly also not taking his eyes off the ring. "Worry more about what will happen to your precious students, when humanity finally decides to do something about them." Magneto countered.
"When that day comes, they will be ready." Charles struck back forcefully knocking Magnetos' robot off guard, "When that day comes what will you do, Magnus?"
Recovering Magneto socked Charles' robot before continuing.
"When that day comes, I will do what I have always done Charles. Lead the strong, and make sure our future is secure. By any means necessary."
"What will you do, when not all mutant-kind shares your militant views?" Charles rebutted him, his robot once gain gaining the upper hand. "What will you do when the truly strong, opt for peace instead of revolution!" he finished passionately knocking the head off of Magnetos' robot.
For a second Magneto sat stunned before speaking.
"If they choose servitude over revolution, then their fate is well deserved." he responded coldly.
"Harmony and servitude are not synonymous Magnus. When will you learn this?" Charles pleaded.
"On the day you learn that militancy, and terrorism are not synonymous." Magneto quipped, a small smile on his lips.
For a moment they both sat there in silence. Both knowing and respecting the fact, that the other wouldn't be swayed. The next time they would meet, would be on the battlefield, and regrettably, they would be on opposite sides.
"Play again?" Charles asked.
"You don't have a choice in the matter." Magneto said magnetically resetting the game.
Just a little something that popped in my head.
