"No... NO!!" Echoed through out the castle halls.

Rath awoke with a start. He had that nightmare again... He wished it would just leave him alone.

He didn't want to expearence that once, but now it was haunting his dreams.

Why won't it leave him alone?

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Playground school bell rings, again.

Rain clouds come to play, again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why won't the pain stop? He didn't want to remember that. How could he not though?

Cesia had already stopped all his trys to kill himself... Maybe this time it would be different...

Rath summoned his sword, and taking a deep breath, stabbed himself in the stomach.

Right then, Cesia walked in Damn it! Rath thought. Cesia stared at him in horror.

"Again Rath? Is this really what you want?" Cesia asked. She grabbed his arm and lead him up to the Lord.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Has no one told you she's not breathing...?

Hello. I'm your mind, giving you someone to talk to. Hello.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the way, Rath had fainted from blood loss, and Cesia had to carry him the rest of the way.

When they got there, Lykoulen looked at Rath and said, "Again?" Cesia nodded.

After an hour Rath woke up. Cesia was standing over him, looking at him with a relived smile.

"Oh good. You're awake." She said. But Rath just turned away. "Oh, is that how you're gonna be?" She asked.

Rath asked her, "Cesia... How can I find peace, if I'm tourtured by old memories? Why does it have to be like this?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------

If I smile and don't believe,

soon I know, I'll wake, from this dream.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Can't you see, Rath? We all care for you. Or even love you. I can show you peace here. just please.... don't die..."

A tear fell down Cesia's cheek as she talked to him. "If you die, then I'd be alone here... Don't you care about me? Even a little bit?"

Rath rolled back over to look at her. She looked like she had been crying for a while. There was a lone tear falling now. She really did care...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken.

Hello. I'm the lie, living for you so you can hide. Don't cry...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I... I'm sorry, Cesia. Sorry I caused you all this pain... If you only knew what it's like...

If I died, then I would lose you... Forever. I would never want that." Rath said, in a soft whisper. "But how can I escape this pain...?"

Cesia stared into Rath's cold, red eyes. She could see his pain, his anger, his sadness... "No Rath... I'm sorry." Rath looked up at her.

She looked even more sad then before. "I'm sorry for what you had to go through. I'm sorry I can't understand"

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Suddenly, I know I'm not sleeping,

Hello? I'm still here.

All that's left of yesterday...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rath then realised what he felt whenever Cesia was near. Why he always felt better when she took his hand.

Cesia loved him. And all he had done was dwell on old wounds. Haunting echoes fom long ago.

He saw that he loved her too. He wanted nothing more than to keep it like this. He wanted to feel like this forever.

"Rath..." Cesia said, "I love you. Please don't die. Please..." Cesia looked so sad...

He never ment to make her like this. Rath whispered, "You're right. If I died, then I'd lose you. I'd lose this happiness.

I can find peace living. With you." Cesia smiled.
