A/N: Hello everyone. I am so sorry that I haven't been very active in the past few months, it's just that I have had a lot on my mind, and a lot of work, so I once again apologize. I hope you all understand.

1966…

It was a fine Saturday morning; the sun was shining and the sky was blue, it was a perfect day to stroll around the grounds of Hogwarts, and this was what Narcissa Black, a sixth year student, had in mind.

"What a lovely day." She said softly to herself.

"A lovely day indeed." Said a familiar drawling voice.

The young Black turned around and smiled when she saw her long-time friend, Lucius Malfoy.

"Good morning, Lucius." She greeted him.

"Goood morning, Narcissa." He replied whilst striding towards her. "Might I join you for a walk?" he added.

"You may." She replied.

The two blondes walked together side by side quietly for a few minutes, until Lucius broke the silence:

"Narcissa?"

"Yes, Lucius?" she replied.

"Would you be interested in going to Hogsmead with me this afternoon?" he asked.

"Lucius, the two of us always go together." She told him in a slightly amused voice.

Lucius smiled at her tone, "Oh I know, but I just wanted to ask you formally for a change."

Narcissa giggled, "Alright, I understand, and yes, I am interested in going with you."

"Excellent. I'll wait for you in the Common Room at two-thirty." He told her.

"Very well." She replied. "I'll see you then; I have to go back to the castle for breakfast."

"Would you like me escort you?" he offered.

"Always the gentleman." She said amused.

"I would be insulted if you thought of me any less." He teased.

"A typical Pure-blood gentleman, that's what you are." She teased back.

"Thank you. Now, back to the question, would you like me to escort you?"

"Yes, thank you for the offer." She sighed, once again amused.

He offered his arm and she took it, and they sauntered off towards the castle.

1980…

Lucius was feeling worried and panicked; although he outwardly looked impassive, inside, he was practically screaming in anxiety; his wife, his beautiful Narcissa was giving birth to their son in the emergency room of St. Mungo's. He was excited yet, worried; the healers placed silencing charms around the wards so that the other patients and visitors wouldn't be disturbed by the screaming, ironically, the unnatural silence made Lucius more and more anxious; he fought hard to resist the tempting urge to barge in and see if they were alright.

Then, a healer came out of the room…

"Mr. Malfoy?" he inquired.

"Well? How are they?" although he tried to keep his voice even, it still shook.

"You son and wife are both safe. Would you like to see them?"

"Of course, I would."

The healer led him to the room, where he saw the most wonderful thing in his life…

His wife was asleep, her hair pooled around the pillow making her look peaceful, a tired, yet content smile graced her face as she held her their son, their son, who was also asleep and wrapped in a light blue blanket. Lucius was internally filled with happiness, as he let a small yet blissful smile form on his lips while he walked over to the side of the bed and sat down on the chair that was prepared for him.

He was so grateful, grateful for his wonderful marriage, his lovely wife, his fantastic son, and most of all: how it all began.
