Hour One: Gathering Supplies

"Where...am I?" a girl thought, looking around a dark filled place as she slowly picked herself up off the water covered floor. "Who...am I? Where's….Dormouse….?"

She wore a white, dress shirt underneath a red and white, swallow tail jacket with a pair of black, tight shorts and white, knee-high boots. Her white hair was short with only a few locks long enough to be tied into a ponytail. On top of her head, between her white, drooping, rabbit ears, sat a black mini top hat.

She looked around in all directions, hoping that there was something to tell her which way to go in. Sadly, there was no such thing. All around her looked the same. Seeing as the choices were limited, the rabbit eared girl decided to just walk straight ahead.

As she walked down the "path", she looked around the area, keeping an eye out for her dormouse. Every so often, when she would come across an object or a pile of rubble, she would go and examine it. Sometimes, she would look around the area a bit before she decided on whether or not to take the item with her. Eventually, she had gathered a long, dining table that looked like it could have belonged within a castle, different types and styles of chairs that were in good condition, a few old tea sets and some miscellaneous things here and there. She carried them all on the dining table and pulled it behind with ease, surprisingly. As she continued on her way, she spotted a mouse eared boy running away from a cat like creature of some sorts.

"Dormouse!" the girl exclaimed, putting her stuff down and running towards the boy.

The boy, Dormouse looked up toward the girl and his eyes widen in shock. Tears came to his eyes as he ran faster and over toward the girl.

"Yayoi!" he exclaimed, extending his arms towards her and jumped.

The girl, Yayoi opened her arms and caught Dormouse, pulling him into a hug. She gently petted his yellowish orange hair as he shivered in fear and hugged her tightly back.

"I thought that I'll never see you again!" Dormouse cried through his sobs of joy and fear.

"Don't be silly!" Yayoi said, "You know that I won't ever leave you alone! I think?"

Dormouse silenced his crying and looked up at Yayoi with shock to what she just said. Yayoi looked back at him with a questioning look on her face. A moment or two of silence settled between the two before Dormouse spoke.

"Don't you remember?" he asked quietly, unsure if he wanted to hear the answer or not.

"What do you mean by "Don't you remember?"?" Yayoi asked.

"About the day you found me?" Dormouse asked, slight panic within his voice.

Yayoi thought for a moment or two as Dormouse watched her carefully. He desperately clung onto the hope that she'll remember at least something from before coming into the Abyss. His hopes, however, were quickly dashed when Yayoi spoke.

"I don't know what you're talking about," she said, sadly.

"Then what do you remember?!" Dormouse asked in a panic.

"Waking up in the Abyss and remembering that you were my pet." Yayoi said, looking towards her "little" collection of stuff, "Anything before that….nothing."

Dormouse's eyes widen even more to this before he broke down crying. Yayoi tried her best to comfort her dormouse to the best of her abilities but nothing she did worked.

"Yayoi's gone! She's gone!" Dormouse thought as he continued to cry and hugged Yayoi even tighter.

Yayoi can mean March in Japanese.
