You remember the first time you saw him. You and Jenny had stopped in that small restaurant on Main Street. And there he was, waiting for an order up at the counter.
You could only see him from behind at first – but your attention was just drawn to him. You didn't know why, but there was just something about him. Jenny caught you staring; she urged you to go up there.
That's when he turned around – and smiled.
You blushed, embarrassed to be caught staring, but you got up and went over to him, anyway.
"Hey," he said. "I'm John."
