Music was blasting and the air smelled of sweat and drinks.

I decided to plan a Halloween Party since the academy wouldn't allow any.

Everyone was in the woods partying hard literally even the freshman's were grinding and the senors were doing the Harlem Shake.

"Rose this party is awesome!"Ralph screamed over the music.

I only gave a nod trying not to pass out with his alcohol breath.

He then stumbled away and jumped on the snack table striping.

I couldnt help but laugh and people actually cheered him on. I felt Lissa's presence and she grabbed my arm, "Rose let's dance."

Her words were slightly slurred, "Lissa! Are you drunk!"
She giggled and shook her head, "No justa little tipsy. Come on!"

She grabbed my arm and dragged me to the center of everyone dancing.

The song "Beat It" by Chris Brown played and we danced our asses until I heard

"ROSE WHAT IS THIS!"

The music stopped and everyone froze looking fearful of a pissed off Janine.

I felt heat rush to my cheeks, "Mom...what are you doing here?"
"I heard music." She was now in front of me her arms folded across her chest.

Everyone seemed to be watching me and I felt embarrassed. My mom then smirked, "Let's party!"

I was surprised but we all partied it seemed to be a few hours before we heard a scream.

Everyone froze and my eyes widened.

STRIGOI!
But it was Dimitri Pale skin and red eyes! This couldn't be happening!
He had Jesse by his neck and flashed his fangs at us.

"Sorry but this party will end with all of y'all dead." he gave a cold smile and more Strigoi came out.

Everyone was running for their lives but we were all caught.

My mom ran at Dimitri stake in hand I got out my frozen state and ran to her, "Mom please don't! I love him!"

She froze. She had already had Dimitri pinned to the tree and the stake was placed at his heart.

His eyes looked fearful.

The atmosphere was thick.

My mom stared at me shock, "Dimitri was your mentor and he's a monster now."

I smiled and looked at Dimitri he gave a smirk, "Happy Halloween Janine."
The other "strigoi" were just other guardians and teachers dressed up.
